I think the fact that Croad, Crawford and Jacobs all missed may have influenced selection. In hindsight, he shouldn't have played.

Just trotted/limped around all night lining blokes up. Took a couple with him but I think he had only 8 touches.

Regardless, a half fit Hodge is still pretty good and his opponent (selwood?) deserves plenty of credit.
