If the rumours are true about us trying to move on Trelor, Philips WHE and thomas,
Then for the first time since buckleys taken the reigns i'm actaully happy his making some bold decisions that will improve the club in the short medium and long term.
Our list needs a rejuvination especially through the mid and half forwards. Open up a spot for sier in the mid get some kids in their who can use the ball and have abit flare.

I think it's actually short term. We'll end up bringing in Gunston and other 28-31 year olds to try win a flag. We'll get picks back for these players and ship them off for others. Long term would be trading these players, holding onto all these young kids for a few years, and going for a flag in 2-4 years with still a decent core of 25-30 year olds

Strange how most of us posters can see the obvious players that should be moved on and holes in our list but the club hasn't for years. Finally penny seems to have dropped. A lot of our perennial injured players fo eg of last 5 years are of our books which many have informed should of happened years ago. Bet theirs now suddenly a miracle where our injury list over next few years will now reduce.

This is starting to look like a significant clean out. Maybe even a mini rebuild. Bucks may have stamped the foot. God knows he’s had to put up with players who were too long on the list and too often unavailable. We could look a lot different for round 1 next year.

It’s easier for us posters to be critical of players output at seasons end because most of us don’t actually know the players, and work along side them every day. The hardest part of a job of a club employee is having to let good people go based on their on field performance(or lack there of). Most of us on here can’t see the in house contributions and input a player can have at the club.

Personally I’m happy with letting go of a few players who can’t get on the park, keeping them on the list, based on potential, or because “he’s a good bloke”.
Premierships usually come from being ruthless, on and off the field.
I also hope our injury list is quelled over the next few years. We’ve had a shocking run the last 5-6 years.

It’s not Buckley making the decisions, there is an entire team of people involved...I agree though...bold is good.
