Or do we get a lot of exposure in the pre-season in the newspaper (Mainly the Herald Sun)?
I was surprised last year because I think we got a fair bit and this year is no different. Yes it is obviously a Melbourne-based paper, but I would have thought other clubs would have got a bit of exposure as well.
Thoughts?
PS It's far from a bad thing, I welcome it but just thought it was a bit strange.

Yeh i agree, i have noticed it as well.

And the best thing is that it is a lot of positive news as well, which has hit sore spots of other teams supporters

Whoever is doing is in charge of media in the club is doing a damn fine job!

I dont think we get that much more than other Melbourne Clubs, if anything it would be because of the Broadbridge death, which really thrust our club into the limelight, which just goes to show its not always a good thing to be popular in the papers.

The last couple of seasons the team has got a fair bit of exposure in the media. I think the media department, which is actually managed by Leigh Newton, is doing a good job.

i luv opening the sport section to see an article on the dees during offseason rather than seeing bloody collingwood or essendon especially when it isnt bad news!!!
it was understandable that we would have a lot of newspaper coverage last year after the death of broady but even though they are still talking about broady in the papers it surprises me at how many other articles have been written about us considering we never get coverage during the season and when we do it is all bad!!!
