To land both fev and jolly. without trading a star player ala- medhurst or davis.

I bloody hope so, i couldnt cope without leon. Skunk hopefully will get back to that aa form.

but is there ways to trade were we dont give up these star players?

i know the saying goes you have to give quality to get quality.

Can we do project impossible.?

Nope

What makes anyone think we can

Why would Sydney who we have the wood over be happy to be on the raw end of a deal with Jolly?

Carlton on the other hand may finish up like Cousins did with nobody being interested... who knows on the other hand they might get a first round pick.

we could get one but not both, id be prepared to offload davis and medhurst TBH, we may be able to land pick 7 and seaby for both of those players, we could then use seaby in the jolly trade, id rather give up leon or meders than one of our young talants, we could offer seaby, wood and our second round pick for jolly and use pick 14 for fev, the best part is we would get to keep pick 7, that would be a sweet deal.

Let's put things into perspective here.......

While I love Davis and Medders, we have an abundance of small forwards and severely lack a big bodied ruckman and a reliable forward.

If it was possible to get Jolly and Fevola by trading Medhurst and Davis, I would personally drive them to Perth myself!!

Why would you do that? all you would hear the whole way is "are we there yet?" "are we there yet" "are we there yet" as well as the fighting over the chips and lollies and constant eye spy games.

Wicksy i highly doubt we will need to trade both med and davis for pick 7 if that was the scenario. If one had to go i would say med, but even then id be dissapointed not that jolly and fev are coming but just that we let him go.

med is worth pick 7 alone in our eyes as is davis. it comes down to who ud rather dawes and med/davis or the fev with baggage.?

Unlikely, but possible.

I think a lot of people are forgetting that our recruiters must've had Jolly on the radar for a while now. Everyone had known during the week we were saving our first round pick for something they just didn't know what for. So with that in mind, you'd think that they knew they had Jolly before Fev even came avaliable, and Eddie seemed to hint we were interested at the Copeland. If the club was interested and knew at the time the first round pick was spoken for you would think that Collingwood believe it's possible.

Whether or not anything gets worked out we'll have to wait and see, but a blind man could see the advantages of getting both so I have no doubt the club is weighing it's options.

in our eyes they are but only in our eyes, get serious, WC arnt going to part with pick 7 for one of those boys, both players for pick 7 and a player would be about right, remember fremantle paid pick 8 for tarrant in his prime, (with medhurst included granted, but medhurst was a basket case when we got him) say what you like about tarrant but he held much more value then than davis or medders do now IMO, he was younger and key position.

hahaha

and dont forget Medhurst would insist on scrapping a mark in the ground in front of them both evertime you stopped for a leak and then Leon will run around him and your car then pee elsewhere from an impossible angle

You are kidding right...... Neither is worth pick 7 in anyones eyes!!

Basically to get Jolly, we need to get Sydney Seaby......

To get 7 and Seaby, are you saying that all we would need to do is give them say Medhurst/Davis and our 3rd rounder?

While That would be great, it would not happen!

OH MY GOD!!!! A Collingwood supporter who makes some sense!!!!

Funny thing is, I've spoken to a few WC fans and they, in their opinion, have no intention of trading that pick despite speculation.

The best we can hope for IMO:

pick 14 and cook/cox type player to Sydney for Jolly.

Fraser to Melbourne for pick 18? (their second round)

Pick 18, 30 and Dawes to Carlton for Fev

Wishful thinking? hope not...

that parts very wishfull thinking, fraser has ZERO value IMO, maybe a tokon pick but thats about it, i reckon we'll keep him as back up.
