I need headphones with a mic to use for PS3, PC and TV when everyone is sleeping.

I can get it for $71 off eBay and wait a few weeks because its from UK or get it from Harvey Norman tomorrow for $87.

But the main question is, is it still good these days or is it outdated and there are better headphones for that price?

We do have a whole thread on Gaming Headsets. From cheapest to expensive.

The PX21's will do you fine, they are a top class headset for the price.

If it's not a desperate thing to get, then get the cheaper one.

Would you happen to know if the PX21 can be powered up by the Wiselink USB Port on my Samsung TV?

I doubt it, 99% of these forms of headsets are battery/power plug operated.

But if it works on PS3 USB Port why wouldn't it work on TV one?
The USB is to connect up for Voice Chat, I believe, not power supply.

Incorrect. The PX21's have no batteries or power plug

PX21's are not worth it for the price ive gone through 3 diffrent pairs of them terrible headset
do not recommend

Never had a problem with mine

As above, it is power supply and is also needed for the chat

From what I understand I can plug the USB into the TV USB Port for power, but I wont be able to use it for voice chat until I plug it into the PS3 USB Port.

Correct?

Yeah

But if you need them for chat on PS3, you may as well just plug em into the PS3
