Including skool software insurance (which is really good) about $3,500 but then upgraded it for $20 to a 512 meg of ram

it not bad at all, and will run everything but the very latest games very quickly indeed..

the intel graphics processor will harm you wanting to play PC games released in the last few months, but for 99% of games it will be a beast and run them quick as hell!

I presume you mean a centrino processor, it's not the same as a P4 (although it is equivalent in performance). Good light weight at 1.5 kg. Anyway ACER put together a reasonably good laptop, sounds good anyway. Enjoy.

most games should work, but you will have to turn the graphics down..

but some new games, and some games that will get released over the next while will start asking for a top graphics card with 64 megs of ram on board etc

with software and the centrino processor its a good buy wouldnt worry to much about the games side either with 512 meg on board.

apart from the centrinos individual graphics chip how much shared video ram does it have,

GOOD BUY OLD CHAP, dont listen to those who dont know or are just jealous.

what was the skool software and are they full package versions?

and im NS how much shared ram

You're not going to be able to play the latest games without a decent video card, which Intel's onboard versions are not - but for a school machine, that should be fairly irrelevant.

It's a good machine, to be sure, but you probably paid too much for it.
