450 Sweet FA Games For Mooch!
The sunset keeps retreating from the evergreen career of Mooch who began their time with the Wonders in the Sweet FA's second era. Beginning his arc in Season 13, Mooch played 61 games with the blue and gold before some gentle approaches saw him switch over to the Roys in Season 17.
Since that time, Mooch has gone on to become a leadership icon with the Roys, including establishing himself as the most recognisable goalkicker for the team, even more so than the late guru of sim-hatred Fred, the team's only century goalkicker Yippyio and the turbulent period target of JakeThePeg.
Now kicking back as a key position player and this specific week as a support defender because _Mike_ kept nagging me for a better spot, Mooch has continued to play a prominent role at the BJO, the most solid right-hand LG teammate I could hope for ( fitzroybowiedog is kind of shit, tbh ).
And today his career global games tally reaches 450 matches! (61 for the Wonders, today his 389th for the Roys). Among those wonderful seasons, 4 AlfAndrews/Fred medals, 4 premierships and 4 All-SFA selections (not including one he should have won but for some inexplicable reason they gave me a guernsey instead).
Congratulations on a great career so far, Mooch ! You're too cool for us
PS: By the way, if anyone would like to recall that season when some guy was recruited to the Wonders during a finals series just to get him a premiership, and then they lost, maybe you'll remember the furore.
But nobody talks about Mooch joining the Wonders in their last H&A, and playing only that game, a semi-final and a Grand Final, to WIN a flag after only 3 games. Maybe Hate could tell us if that's the fastest anyone has won a premiership after debut.
