What is the sort column on your itunes folder. For example if you are sorting by song, then it will be all over the place. If you sort by either Album or Artist it should be showing in track order. Hope this helps.

I also have a problem....when i go to plug my ipod into my usb port (via the cable) a box comes up saying that they cannot find a required folder. hence only leaving my ipod charging. Any help?

This is not really a problem but a question. I had around 25gb of music files in wma. format and when i converted it to itunes it turned into 45gb. Is this normal or is it because they have been converted they are now larger files? Sorry if this is a noob question.

It depends on your settings. There'll be something in your Options that lets you set the quality and type of format for when you convert/import files. But yeah most likely just converted them to a better quality/bigger filesize format.

For the other people in the thread, check out Apple's support forums.

does anyone know if all the songs that i put on itunes go to my music folder or do they stay where i downlaoded to e.g. my documents. I am wiping my computer and want to know if i only have to worry about the files in my music when saving

I was about to post a thread called i tunes problem (or words to that effect) and came across this, so I may as well post my problem here and hopefully someone with more computer nous than me can help.

Whenever i try and connect to the i-tunes store it comes up with a prompt which reads
"itunes could not connect to the itunes store. Make sure your network connection is active and try again."

I run a network connectivity test and it tells me that the internet connection is verified and that a secure link to itunes store has failed.

So I follow the trouble shooting and clear the DNS cache like it tells me and nothing. So I figure I might have some interference with my wireless connection. However when I plug in the same problem occurs!!

Any ideas? I'm getting so frustrated. Thanks in advance!

Can anyone offer some help as I am pretty much a computer dunce.

1) Why is it when i insert some CDs into my imac, they do not show up anywhere and are spat back out?

Every time I try to import a Paul Kelly CD (Song from the South - Volume 1) this happens and it has happened with some other discs as well.

2) Why would Tom Petty's Greatest Hits not show up on my titles list on my ipod. It's on my ipod but is not listed under artist, album etc. Only can locate songs via composer feature?

Very frustrating. Any thoughts?
