missed the preseason due to injury and has only just got back on the park in the sanfl in the past month - where he is struggling to catch up. Hopefully he'll work his way back into form in the next couple of weeks as we need him fit and ready.

Yeah how is he playing for the port magpies?????? Do you think he will hold his place on the crows list in 2008???? I hope he dose he is a wonderful young talent!!!!

Ahh not very well. Has only gathered a few possessions in each of his past couple of matches with the magpies. I believe he'll hold his place on the Crows list. He's just out of form.

It's more a fitness issue more than anything. He's always struggled with his aerobic capacity, and missing a whole pre-season certainly hasn't helped. Give him a few months and he'll get back to the level he was at last year. He'll definately be on our list next season, unless he asks to be traded which is a possibility as he did only take a 1 year contract last year. He seems to be happy enough, however, at least compared to various reports we've had on Meesen.

Would think he will stay on the list. Had he not been injured start of the year would have certainly been playing in the spot the Griffin has taken.

Really hope to retain Meesen aswell though. Both good talents and want to keep both of them at the club. Personally would prefer to see Meesen higher on the pecking order though, only due to the fact we used a top 10 draft pick on him and I want to be rewarded for that.

atm not great, but thats due to lack of matchfitness and general fitness due to the time he's been out.

there is no way the crows would let him go though unless he wanted out - which is unlikely since he seems to like it here.

this will be interesting as I think ability wise - Meesen is in front of him.

Once the Meese is fully released - I think he can be a 150 game AFL ruckman barring injury.

So at the end of this year we have Hudson, Griffin (who has gone past both of them), a returning Biglands (albiet maybe only for a year), an emerging Tippett....and Meesen and Maric.

I wonder if both Meesen and Maric will be on the list in 2008.....

As good as it would be to keep both of the young rucks maybe it would be wise to consider a trade for one of them. Personally I prefer Meesen in the long run, so maybe it would be the right idea to look to tgrade of Maric.

There would be plenty of clubs interested and if we could get a decent draft pick or player I would be only too happy to make the deal. It is always handy to have quality ruckman in your squad but there is a point where it becomes too many.

Will be an interesting one come the end of the year.

I'd be highly surprised if Biglands is on the list come 2008.

KT was recruited as a forward, but has another year or two of SANFL development.

I'd like to see Griff developed into a forward. He's a nightmare match-up at this point, imagine when he puts some bulk on.

I'd like to see Meese and Maric stay, because at some stage they would form a comanding ruck division.

played reserves foir West Adelaide kicked 4 goals and dominated the ruck
Given Griffin has gone off the boil since his ankle injury, it may be time to bring back in big Ivan.

Agreed. Give Maric his chance. Griffin as we all know still has a lot of muscle to put on and it can't be easy with his stature playing ruck in the AFL week in, week out.

Griffin tends to be a better centre tap winner then Hudson from what I've seen but then Hudson scrums and gets it as well.
I don't think you really need to drop Griffin to give Maric a go Bock isn't doing a whole lot and I'd say Griffin could do more then what has been shown if given a more solid role.

Huddo was 3rd in the league in effective tap outs last week IIRC.

I also want Griff to be developed more as a KPP/ruckmen, in the Lade mould, but even moreso.
