Hello Dees
Just a question about Jack Fitzpatrick. Is he the big number 48 bloke that rucked against Collingwood yesterday.

He looked like he had a good day, any information on the game he played yesterday and what you folks think of him , he looked good but I only saw bits of the game .

Thanks Dees

JJ.

He certainly had more impact on the game than his couple of appearances during the 2011 season.

When he did play in season 2011 (which wasn't much), he had almost a negative impact on the game with shocking turnovers/decisions etc.

He didn't get a whole lot of it on the weekend against the pies, but he had a good run in the ruck and did some good things when he did get his hands on the ball. Certainly a work in progress, but a much more pleasing showing at the weekend compared to previous efforts.

Try this thead, mate. But yes, he has been rucking this pre-season, and better than expected too. Has taken himself out of the spuds basket and into the "bit of potential about him" category.

You mean his 1 appearance in the last round of the season?

He had been playing quite well for Casey prior to that (not only rucking but kicking goals too) and was coming back from injuries. Still a way to go, but look at guys like Jamar and Cox - took years to come on (Cox was really uncoordinated in the beginning) but now are delivering the goods.

With Gawn gone for the season and Spencer out for a while i'm glad we have him on our list.

My apologies rhaz, I thought he played the last few games of 2011.

He certainly has a pretty bad game against Port in Round 24, but like you said, a good player to have on list considering injuries to Spencer and Gawn.

Thanks Demons. I have a genuine interest in this young fellow. I know his grand dad very well. His grandfather was a Hawk man until this boy joined the demons , now he,s one of you guys, good luck season 2012.
