Love Ginni. Think he will be the sub this week and that’s alright. 😋
We can't discount that option. Don't know how much longer they can have Reef as the sub. Needs to play a full game at some level.

Think so too.
We need Ginni to fire up all the oppo sooks that lose all control when he plays. He can come on for 10 minutes just to ruin their trip home
Like the idea of him kicking a crucial last QT goal as a sub. Although hopefully we’re 10 goals up so it isn’t that crucial.

Ginni will need to work hard to get back in the side, which he is capable of doing. I feel that this year's team will be relatively stable and that changes will be forced (through injury, typically) rather than 'throwing magnets'. This is a good situation and breeds competitiveness and a willingness to be your best at all times.

I hope so. He's one hell of a prospect. His combination of size, athleticism and aggression is just incredibly rare.
Some big guys seem to take a while to grow into their bodies.
Darcy Moore was a bit fragile earlier in his career with soft tissue injuries, but is pretty durable now.
Will Kelly & Charlie Dean are two others who seem made of glass.
Hopefully Freddy will put his injury troubles behind him and become a good player, because the little we have seen has been tantalising.

Agree - same happens in cricket - a lot of the tall fast bowlers seem to get a lot of injuries when young, but most of them develop into their bodies.

Question: Are you allowed to do this?

i know you can come up from VFL to AFL, but can you go the other way?
pretty sure you can if you are the unused sub??? but not if you actually play?
I'm pretty sure Carlton did it with Lachie O'Brien this weekend

I was thinking more recent times - Brett Lee, Mitch Johnson and Cummins barely played cricket from 18-24ish - then got their bodies right and became very durable.
No argument young tall and lanky fast bowlers will always have these problems - it's a high stress action on young and still settling bodies.
