AFL Club
Sydney
Set to make his debut against Richmond on Saturday night.

Taken as an academy player at pick 38 in the same draft as Heeney.

All the best to Jack in his first game!

The Swans’ second round selection that year, number 38 overall, Hiscox grew up in Newtown in Sydney’s inner-west and played for the Glebe Greyhounds.

Hiscox joined the Academy from an athletics background where he was the Australian 800 metre schoolboy champion.

While he’s an exceptional endurance athlete, Hiscox’s also quick and agile and has developed his game in the NEAFL under the tutelage of Rhyce Shaw.

No better place to make a debut than at the G on a Sat night. Hope he has a great game.
I think this is the first post ever about Hiscox that has no puns, double entendres, or just crude statements about penises.

Now I feel bad about what I was going to post.

Good on him.

I'm really excited to see all these youngsters stepping up.

Here's hoping they can handle the manic pressure week-in, week-out, because although we have a tough draw from now on in, I'm actually starting to believe we can go all the way to the granny.

Well, assuming we can beat Richmond tonight, of course.

I did, But then realised you probably didnt want to **** up the thread.

had a lot to do with Jack since he was a junior, good guy. Honestly never thought he would get drafted but he worked really hard as an over ager and can't wait to see how he goes

But seriously folks.

I've never seen Hiscox play so I'm really looking forward to watching him tonight. I've heard about how he is crappy at everything except for running fast and for a long time. I can only assume that he's better than that otherwise he wouldn't be playing. I suspect that the coaches are expecting him to make the odd mistake or two but are hoping that he can "break the lines" and unsettle the Tigers when we have the ball. In effect, to keep them guessing.

Yeah...you'll regret this post!

Look he had no impact tonight. But I have to ask the coaches what was his role? Was he supposed to offer us speed on the wing? Was he supposed to be an option going fast into the forward line? Dash off halfback? Cause I was confused and apparently so was he...

* EDIT I don't want to disparage him but I'm confused about his role.

Shouldn't of selected
Did he Bradbury his way into the team with the mysterious and unexpected withdrawal of BJ and Leonardis as emergencies? Still we had Rose waiting in the wings who whilst not quick can actually play football.

Ironically Hiscox did a lot of ball watching*

*more of an Alanis kind of ironic
Now you see, you're the ressies watcher, you know what's going on and you have great respect on these senior additions. Personally, I would have gone Rohan or 'Davis to debut'. Note: I don't see the ressies.
