SEN reported before that Jack will be fronting the media at 4:15pm, no doubt talking about his attitude on Saturday night. I'l be in class, anyone able to listen and give us a run down?

Hmm they are doing the Brent Moloney presser at the moment (10 past 4), I'll keep an ear open for Jack the Hack.

just kidding about the Hack part :p

What an oversanatised world we live in these days. Bloke goes out and gets pissed and gets asked to leave a club at 2.30am - he complies and leaves and gets stripped of the vice captaincy.

I bet Connors wishes he was playing for Melbourne last year when he was suspended for 8 weeks. If he was just drunk, Moloney that is a smack on the wrist is enough. If he pissed in the bar he should have been suspended.

Literally lol :D:D

Jack apologised about the hand gesture
Says he letthe club down
Says out of character
Says he has great passion for the club and the jumper but needs to work on how he displays it
Loves teammates and club and says perception is reality in footy these days
Wants to be known as a player who has a great impact on young players coming through
Says he is an emotional person who loves the game and wears his heart on his sleeve
Says he reacted to something silly and small and shouldn't have done it

LMAO. Jack is apologising for 'making a rude hand gesture on national TV'.

I'm with you Tugga, this is just plain funny now.

Jack almost sounded serious :D

Got fined $900 for it too, by the AFL.
I was more concerned with his body language all game, but the game is clearly soft as butter these days.

Mate brown got two weeks for the elbow behind play the only soft part of the AFL is the suspensions they hand out to non richmond players, The game has become a JOKE and we are the laughing stock.

It might be slightly off topic, but it show where the game is at, lets hang someone for flipping the bird, but feather smack a prat that is a repeat offender

Out of interest, did Krak get fined for his gesture?

IMO it is a massive double standard if Riewoldt gets fined for a minor gesture like the bird and Krak gets away with his gesture (albeit minor as well, but definately more offensive than the bird to victims of crime)

Did Brown really only get 2 weeks .. .that is a ****ing joke considering the penalties handed to Rance and McGuane ... seriously, talk about looking after Gold Coast .. i am really starting to get frustrated by the bias shown by the umpires and MRP (not necessarily bias against richmond, because there are other sides similarly biased, but definately biased towards some players and clubs - e.g. players such as Judd, Goodes etc and clubs such as Collingwood, Carlton and Gold Coast)

Actually Jack got $1200 to be reduced to $900 with a guilty plea.
Krakouer got nothing.

Thanks mate, thought it would be a typical 'fluff' type of article, I too was more worried about his body language, couldn't really give a stuff about his hand gesture.

Tried to listen to it, told my lecturer we should finish early to listen to SEN, turns out she was the only one that didn't find it funny.

yeah i could see how the bird could be seen as offensive yet a howdy doody gesture to every rapist, killer, thief and any other scoundral is within the bounds of acceptance:rolleyes:

Te big difference was he wasnt wearing a yellow sash, but then again he was probably acknolwdging the majority of maggies supporters and their tendencies.

I agree that the bird isn't an enormous issue, and I certainly couldn't give two shits, but he didn't just get fined because he's a Richmond player. The AFL doesn't have some insane anti-Richmond corruption going on, we're just biased as Richmond supporters. Example is the poster on the previous page suggesting McGuane was unlucky to get two weeks (and eays I realise you acknowledged it's not a result of a vendetta, just using the McGuane thing as an example)..he leapt off the ground at full pelt and nailed Ray in the head, if someone did that to one of our players we would be expecting 5 weeks and many would be claiming a vendetta against Richmond if it didn't happen. Again I don't care about Jack's gesture but not everything is a result of anti-Richmond bias.

It needs to be raised somehow somewhere even if the Clubs are gagged. This MRP isnt going to improve if they cant be challenged by us the ticket paying public. The inequities towards just us have been shockingly inconsistent enough Im sure other Clubs have similar examples. Time they were brought to account!
