Despite his dropped mark last week in the guts,, would it be too bold of a statement to say try him up fwd for a game or two? With nothing to loose why not give him a punt there? he has good hands and he can get on the lead.. imo

Has been tried up forward with occasional modest success.

Really his future is wing/midfield or back. Can kick the ball long, so should focus on getting it and slamming it goalwards. Keen for him to remain with us for another year or 2 though

Easy!

nah, run him through the middle. after his blistering purple patch against collingwood in the third quarter he showed that he can be a very damaging onballer.

He has decent enough marking, leading and kicking skills but I don't think there is room for him in the forward line at the moment with the development of Hughes and Jack.

Let him run through the middle and off half back for a couple of years (and tagging where required) then maybe when Richo has gone he can become that lead-up forward who can kick a long ball into the forward 50.

Why are you laughing at him.

Jacko has proven before he can be handy up forward.

yeah i guess your right id just rather develope him and get him more experience through the middle and down back as a running defender. It wouldn't be a waste to play him up fwd but if he is going to play down back and in the guts for the next few years i say give him as much exp as possible there.

I think Jacko is capable of doing a Foley. Have a few decent games at the end of this year, have a massive pre season, and absolutly dominate next year!
Can see alot in jacko, just hope he has the mental strength to kick on with it!

Daniel Jackson is an extremely smart person and this should not be underrated.

When wrestling with Kerr did you notice how Jacko put heaps of pressure onto Kerr's strapped shoulder?

It wasn't a coincidence ;)

Jacko is a Greg Miller special, he could be anything.

remember that goal he scored earlier this year.

how sweet was that :)
Jacko is a thumping kick but doesn't seem to have much confidence in himself. Often whenever he gets the ball around 50 he looks around for someone to give it to and doesn't even think about having a shot, instead trying to pinpoint someone in a congested forward line. I reckon TW should encourage him to have a go when he gets it around the 50.

yeh i agree, compared to previous years he has really improved his kicking style in general and kicks it 50-55 meters accuratly now:eek:

has improved alot this year, was good to see him get into kerr

shame that he kicked it into the man on the mark when a goal would have had the eagles edgey going into the last quarter.

I don't think I'll make another one of them for a while :p

I noticed this at the start o the year when he was playing for Coburg. He would kick it 50 metres to a leading player and hit him on the chest time and time again.

Am I crazy or was he a poor kick last year? Richmond have done a good job training Foley and Jackson IMO.
