Pretty Simple really. First thing, someone needs to get on the front foot from St Kilda and confirm what has happened here. It ain't that hard to get the truth. Then one of three things happen....

1. If it's him and true, then, thanks but no thanks, take your talents elsewhere Jake.

2. If it's him and he is joking, then just a quick word to be a little smarter and move on.

3. This is the most likely, it's not even him, then sue channel 9 and those pretend reporters out of existence.
 
For those of you saying he's inside then outside etc. You need to look at the top right of the video, snapchat has a timer saying how long until the next picture or video. Where he is outside is a completely different video he has made, obviously not related to the first one. Don't be confused into thinking this is one long video, it's two very separate ones shown straight after each other.

It's clearly been delayed until after we trade. If certain parties knew they should be held liable for not disclosing as such. It's irrefutable that his trade value would have been negatively impacted. We should heavily canvas the AFL for a compensation pick accordingly. Pick 4 would do nicey.

Make it happen saints. Don't roll over like we did when the AFL took our points against Freo, when they covered up the overheard umpire celebration after causing us to lose (again against Freo), allowing James Hird to play the final quarter of the power failure match despite not playing the first three quarter Etc ETC.

Time to stand up for ourselves for a change. Demand compensation! What would Collingwood do?!?!
 
Thank God this has reared it's head after the trade. If it happened yesterday we would have pulled out. As it is Jake is a Saint and will help us win our 2nd flag.

You need Knuckleheads who can play to be successful. Just look at Lake.

This is a disgrace, that it comes out the day he comes to us. Real, fake or somewhere in between. We are a laughing stock yet again and we now go into damage control whilst other clubs are smashing out some incredible trades.

It may sound dramatic, but today is a pretty low moment for us based on how much hard work we've put in over the past few years.
 
It's snap chat guys. You can film heaps of separate snaps up to 10 seconds long each and they will go from one to the other after the previous one finishes...
 
The audio will be the make or break of this story, but I'm still a bit meh about this. Players can do what they want in their own time, as long as it isn't hurting their performance or other people. Maybe I've just become accustomed to players being on the blow.

If we're talking sponsorship dollars, it might reck anything we have in the works right now, but I think it'd only be a relatively short term hit.
 
FFS, why would we cancel the trade? Even if the footage is him snorting coke (which I'm very dubious that it is) it's not a sack-able offense. Half the AFL is probably doing the same thing right now, just Jake was dumb enough to film it and his 'mate' was enough of a dog to flog it for money.

Something still seems very suspect about the whole thing, I'm not overly worried at the moment to be honest. Even if it does turn out to be legit, I don't see how it's a story that makes us look bad. With the timing of the release, something very dodgy is going on somewhere. Our club has nothing to answer for.

So how about we wait and see what happens and get a bloody grip.

As I said it's not about the morals of doing it, or even about what he took. It damages our image. we almost need to make a stand for the good of the club. If all the players on our list that get filmed were sacked it is probably fair enough. there is a culture of what people don't know doesn't hurt them. Footballers need to hide their extra curricular activities or play by the rules. If he has previous strikes he could even be suspended.

I watched it and paused and unpaused. I wouldn't run with it if it was my media station just by going off the video, it is really difficult to tell that it is him. To be honest if they didn't tell me it was Jake Carlisle I wouldn't have known.

It's two completely separate videos, played one after the other straight away, it's how snap chat plays videos and pictures if you have received more than one from the same person.

Why?

Is the issue that it's dangerous? If so we better delist every player who drinks grog and speeds when they drive.

Is it because it's illegal? Better delist anybody who has downloaded a torrent.

The club should have a short and sweet response "we don't respond to.gutter journalism, we don't see how this is a matter of public interest" and when I say that I mean it's not in the public's interest... It may be of the public's interest but we live in an extremely voyeuristic society which I don't think we should even humour.

It comes down to how responsible the print and e media are about it. If it's on all the fronts of papers tomorrow he's gone. If it dies down as a ACA shit piece it slides through to the keeper and no one cares.
 
Obviously we don't know all the ins and outs of everything. However if the video is real, this is a very different situation to Lovett.

We had the Milne and Montagna stuff tainting us and then the Kim Duthie stuff and the nude photos. Signed Lovett knowing he had some issues (from memory) and he got himself into a vulnerable position, even though he was found not guilty.

This situation, whilst not great, has people questioning the release date, etc... And there's definitely no fingers being pointed at our culture. We've developed a great leadership, become a destination club and this happened without saints knowledge presumably.... We're building a good culture and have some people in our team who are good with young guys. Whether they don't want him now is up to them but I would expect some statement saying he made a error of judgement during a night out and it's the first time he's done such a thing (however true that may be). We stress the importance that we were unaware and then direct Comments toward our leadership and culture and the positive environment that Jake is coming in to. Give him some community service and all done.

That's all depending on if he was snorting an illicitly substance of course.
 
Why wasnt this exposed before now! Does someone with ACA have an agenda to smear the St Kilda FC . Essendon have done it again sold us another f......d unit. If I were Ameet and Finnis I would be taking legal action against Carlisle, ACA, AFL and Essendon FC tomorrow and suing the lot of them and requesting an immediate termination of the trade.

Essendon can have him back the filthy corrupt ar......oles.

There is no way this info wasnt in there possession before now!
