If you can't rant openly on the internet or social media you need to give the game away - within the rules of-course ;)

I see nothing wrong with contradiction unless it's coupled with denial

Still surprises me how many posters markfs manages to suck in after all this time...

and then...

I could say the same about your posts too. You're clearly an intelligent person but I think most of the regulars understand that you dont really believe what you're posting. Not that I'm criticising. Sometimes, i like to rant too and say things one week that I might contradict the next week.... so I suppose we're similar in that way...

and then...

Not sure when I've contradicted myself, especially consistently as you seem to be implying? Unless you're talking about the exchange with Magpie Brute the other day, which wasn't actually a contradiction at all given I wasn't criticising Hine like he thought I was...

I'll give you the rant bit though. I do like a good one every now and then.

You still surprised?:p:D

Sorry mate had to.:thumbsu:

I dont keep track of who is posting what so I wouldnt have a clue if you contradict yourself, so I should have said that I'm the one that does it. For some reason, I seem to attract these comments which say that I'm trying to troll or make people look stupid. I'm still not sure what trolling so I cant comment on that but I know that making some people look stupid seems a bit redundant to me.

I've never seen anyone post warnings about Thatsgold and I can't believe that people should treat his posts seriously.... is anyone that negative about their team or anyone else's team for that matter. Please dont tell me that he has a mental affliction and I should apologise...

Agree with this. He did some excellent things at times and I am quite comfortable when he has ball in hand. He does fade out at times.

I think he lost a lot of confidence in himself last year and may still be questioning if he is good enough. You get the feeling Leppa may have tried to take Aisho down a notch or two to temper some of that first year over confidence he displayed. That works well with some guys but not with others, it can be a very negative thing to be torn down like that.

Its an old school coaching thing that I have seen happen a lot at lower levels of football. For young guys it can be damaging as they are used to being encouraged and congratulated through junior football then suddenly they are getting whacked and some kids (yes they are kids at 18-20) do not respond, in fact I have seen some kids at lower levels quit the game they used to love. I have also seen some kids respond and get the best out of themselves to stick it up certain people. But generally it is all round unhealthy and equates to bullying and intimidation.

Since last year at the Lions I have seen him hesitate and be afraid to make errors, which I think makes him not want the ball like good players do. I see this less at VFL level and he did not show this in his junior days or year 1 at the Lions. So I am joining the dots. I think he is going to take time to build to a point where he thinks he belongs at AFL level again.

I reckon there is a Possibility that Aish wanted to be Traded to is in the Beams Trade.

After being Denied he said he seek trade to us next season. So he was treated like he was going to leave.

This just something I seen mentioned so nothing Concrete

And that is what Brisbane's problem is, they accept defeat. instead of going.. you know what let's make this place a good environment and entice Aish to stay. they just accept it and dump in in the 2nd's. hypothetical that he had an Elite year. they could have demanded a top 1-5 draft pick

Instead they did the Opposite and made him want to go more.

Agree. Should at least tried to keep him

well clearly we'd be upset if we picked ben sinclair at pick 6. Enough people are upset with him even though he was picked up at 63.

I'm of the belief if your upto it you're upto it and if your not, you're not. Selection in the draft is irrelevant for mine.

If a kid shows something then he sticks around. Myself and many on here still can't see the upside of Ben Sinclair after 6 seasons. Upside for Aish is hes still relatively inexperienced and has elite kicking, his game on the weekend was his best for the club and that surely has to be something we Pie fans should be excited about.

Collingwood were 'into' Aish a very long time before the deal was actually done

There were a lot of media stories and reports about Carlton flying to Brisbane to talk to Aish early on in that year, but what the media didn't report was that Collingwood also met with him then. It was at that time that both parties agreed to try and seek a trade*

* I have absolutely no inside knowledge and even if I did, I would vehemently deny it

which I get but on the same token. look at J Brown for instance we were right into him and by his own admission it was Close.. so imagine Brisbane playing him in the 2nd's.. look at NRL. players sign mid season. NBA same thing, in fact players leave from one game to the next. the get paid professionally and should play and act accordingly. I still think if Brisbane intentionally played him in the 2nds to prove a point then they are a long way off the mark

well it's our job to point out the player's weaknesses...

on a lighter note, here's a photo from my wedding day..
You really should've taken a leaf out of the groom's book and covered up a bit more.

well on the other sides of things, sinclair could never be traded because other clubs would just wait until we dropped him off the list. in contrast, aish could still probably fetch a 3rd round pick at least.... and then there's the money. Aish is probably taking home considerably more, so there's more of a reason to trade him.

Look, we have invested in this guy (Aish) and after his 8 games for our club I think we fans need to relax and let him build his game. He came 3rd in the rising star from memory a couple of seasons ago that there shows he can offer something. The Lions were mega pissed to let him go, I think it's safe to say Aish has value.

To me I think he will be fine, he's still finding his feet here and I no doubt can see his qualities contributing to our success in the future. As for Sinclair.. meh

You are not the first person I have seen refer to Jimmy having to find his feet. This intrigued me. I googled 'James Aish feet' and wonder if below image (don't ask me why it showed up for that search) would be of help to him ie Shaza could teach him
images

Jimmy just better work it out before he has to ask Jennifer (middle of next line after MS photo) as he just might get in trouble with Mitchell

Bit Frustrating. Lovely user of the Ball but barley Touches it to take Advantage of it

Yep, his decision-making is excellent. But I've been watching him closely this year. Seems to spend a lot of time flat-footed around he packs, which means he's not demanding the ball - if it comes to him, it comes to him but the best players are usually on the move a lot more.
