Hiya all, I hope you don't mind a Tiger supporter poking into your nest, but I thought you may find this amusing.

I was listening to a movie-review show on the radio today and they were interviewing the director of that new Paul Hogan flick, "Strange Bedfellows". Anyhow, he was speaking about the time he was doing some work as a script writer in Hollywood and at some meeting he was introduced to James Caan.

When Caan realised this guy was an Aussie he couldn't wait to talk football with him, declaring himself to be "The West Coast Eagles #1 American supporter" and stating that he had tapes of each game sent to him on a weekly basis during the season. He then invited the bloke over to the set of the Arnie film he was co-starring in ("Eraser") and this guy thought he may have some work coming...but no, Caan just wanted to talk about the Eagles and Aussie Rules in general.

So there ya go - add Sonny Corleone to the list of famous Eagles' followers!

James Caan has been an Eagles fan for years. Previous posts on this topic brought him up a few times.

My special memory is Sir Paul McCartney at subi in 1993. Just finished his concert....went backstage and slipped on an Eagles jumper and returned to the stage.

There was an almighty roar from the crowd.

McCartney was a hugh fan of McIntosh.
