Yeah that's what I thought. Finally stepped up a bit :thumbsu::)

Finals are a good time to do so aswell. Went in the middle and won some nice clearances.
 
Cannot believe he was not named in the best. Absolutely dominated in the clearances - an area he's much underrated in, IMO, but he just blew everyone else away today.

Beginning to prove himself a real finals player. His last final against the Swans was another ripper.
 
ran hard and made the contested ball contests all day as well. his aggression was fantastic and i thought he really stood up when corey was blanketed with the tag, still kicked a couple of mongrel floaters though :P
 
I had Kelly in my bets 3 actually, but looks as if alot of people didn't. Was awesome in clearences and gathered alot of the ball and used it well. Linked up good in the midfield. terrific player and should silence his critics.

Agreed. Big step up from last year. And to those doubters, he is 'one' of the reasons why we are in the predicament to where we are today. One of many of the players who took it personally and rose to the occasion.

That is the difference to us this year and last, our second batch of players have risen to the challenge, Kelly is one of them.

Great game today, tackled hard and had many effective disposals. Fits well within the team.
 
Best game that I've ever seen him play. Brilliant in tight situations today and was able to shrug a few tackles. Let's hope he keeps it up.

It must feel like plugging the proverbial dyke for opposition coaches. First, write off your best player to the Ling tag. Put your own tag on Junior, second runner with Corey...then proceed to watch Kelly, Selwood and Jimmy tear you apart in the clearances, while the entire back half stream past as outside runners. Must be frustrating.

i'll cop it for that i have been on his back for awhile today showed what he can add to our game and i hope it can back it up the next 2 games aswell. BDP takes a bite out of his humbble pie. MMMMMMM! pie......

Agreed C2R, has stepped up from last year, done heaps of work and really made the most of getting under the radar of all opposition coaches this year.

Class when he puts his mind to it, the best thing this year is his tackling, very pleased with his efforts.

he played out of his skin yesterday. I've been a critic of his in the past but I was pleasantly surprised yesterday.
