Really liked him today. Hard, skillful and smart. Taken a step from last year already (when l thought he was underrated too).

Excellent link up potential with Johnson and Gamble too l think, as distinct from when we hit up our big men.

Loved his game.
Did fade a little after half time though.
I think he's really capable of playing half forward for us...

Half Forward is a great spot for him. His attack on the ball is great and he handballing is excellent. Gets an easy opponent to:D

Sensational all year. HFF is definitely his position, very silky and crafty. Also a good shot at goal, on the run or set shot.

I hope the guy that i was sitting next to last week, one of our loyal members who said he was useless and shouldve been delisted 4 years ago, was watching...

kelly has been consistently good this year. I agree that HFF is a great spot for him. I just love that spurt in Essendon game where he was ripping the ball out of the young bomber players hands and ended with him actually throwing the ball at one when it went out of bounds. Just showed that he is full of mongrel this year which is what is helping him be so competitive.

I'm glad someone else has appreciated him this year. I think he's been pretty good in every game so far, and today he was just super. I think he'd be a chance to be leading the B&F (Ling probably is though, or Scarlett - both very good so far).

I think his consistency is a big part of his overall improvement and its often overlooked when we look back to a couple of years ago. We used to see the flashes of brilliance but now when we see it for extended periods in a game its pretty special to watch.

In the first half he played the half forward line as well as it can be played under that sort of pressure from the saints. Forwards rarely play four quarters these days as its just too taxing but Kelly set us up early when the game was hot and still in the balance. Great game today.

Kelly has been very, very good.

His ability to lead up, hand off, tackle, win the hard ball, use his strength etc etc have risen to levels we thought we might see when we first saw him. Add to that his ability to "tag" the attacking half back and make him accountable and you have a cornerstone player.
St. Kilda launch from half back but today Kelly put an end to that. It also allows Stokes to play the "loose man everywhere" game.

Well done Kel. Sorry I doubted.

Mate, it was with good cause, he wasn't the only one but he was definitely a bit soft, not just in terms of courage but also in terms of work rate.

He wasn't the only bloke in that category.

He had a good year last year I thought but I must admit I didn't think he was ever a chance to play footy as good as he is now.

IMO he's also one of our best in close. Just always seems to be able to find space in the contest and then fire off the handball.
