With the likely departure of Thornton, is there a possibility in somehow trading for pick 6 to aquire Sellar? I know this is a big ask, however he is worth that to our club IMHO. A second round pick will just not cut it, don't be fooled by the 'super draft' tag, no pick is certainty for a good player.

He is somewhat a forgotten man in this years draft, was rated very highly at the start of the year. Sellar would give us a young ruckman and also help Gibbs settle in a little easier.

If Thornton does end up leaving, than him + pick 19 (yes, I'm aware that Pagan doesn't want to trade it) for pick 6 seems fair and reasonable.

I would take that in a heart beat. Would be good for Gibbs and is another pick in the top 10. Very good deal but would Hawthorn take it?

How about Hawthorn give us their second round pick #24, and whatever they get for Everitt, which could be another second round pick as well.

It could be interesting next week though, as I would imagine the Hawks would be focused on getting a good trade for Spida, Carlton might be able to get a deal that slightly favours them.
