Lucky enough to be in the stadium for the race last night. Jana did us proud. To run sub 54 sec following a knee op is an amazing effort. She is a champion.

Stadium actually shook when Greek girl won. Never seen a crowd reaction like it. You could feel the top deck of the stadium move with everyone jumping up & down.

While she does come across as ungraciousness and self-serving, the main underlying reason why there is a resentment towards her is the hyping up and exploitation of her by media outlets, in particular News Ltd.

The Herald Sun devoted an entire editorial to her last week after her fifth placing. They treat her like a commodity to back up and sell for their own personal gain like the Free Trade Agreement or Foxtel. And the ham-fisted public manipulation has left a bad taste in the public's mouth.
