In most of the phantom drafts i have looked at Jared Moore seems to be picked anywhere after 40 basically (except in one where he goes at 36).

I am just wondering why someone who dominated the National U/18 championships, got named centre in the TAC cup team of the year and made U/18 All-Australian is predicted to be taken so late.

I think he will be a champion, and he is a ready-made player. His only weakness is his pace, but he is similar in build to Sam Mitchell.

thoughts??

Yeah your right mate i dont know why, even in my opinion he will go late but thats only because of what i have seen in other phantom drafts,he dominated against SA but i think it might have something to do with shape and size,he should get picked up though
Who do you want North to pick up? :D

Well he is orginally from Langwarrin which is a very near by club to mine. :D
The reason he is predicted to be picked around the 40s is because of his size.He is pretty small. Also he doesnt need to develop and therefore is going to stay the same physically. I belive that he might struggle against body's his own size.

Jarred Moore is NOT slow! He finished tenth in the draft camp in the 20m sprint with 3 seconds flat!

That is surprsing... the perception of him is that he is slow. However, in the U/18 national championships he did seem to have good acceleration. Maybe in comparison to the AFL's elite he is not quite up to scratch?

IMO he can be better than sam mitchell but time will tell

Jared is seen to have not a lot more improvement left and his leg speed is the big question mark. The AFL Clubs are on the look out for athletic and quick players and unfortunately Jared isnt that now and wont develop into that in time.

As crowsarethebest mentioned earlier and was confirmed on the fox footy draft camp show, Jared Moore actually came 10th in the 20m sprint. Only .1 of second behind the highly-fancied and apparently quick Brett Deledio.

So I am not sure where this common perception of Moore being slow has come from. I must admit from what I had read about him at various sources I was left with the impression that he lacked speed as well. However, upon reflection of his TAC cup performances compounded with his U/18 National's performance I now realise that he is not slow at all. In fact he has very good acceleration.

They said at draft time that simon black was slow. He did alright.
