Anyone pay attention to the Moore interview at the Lions game? Looks like we won't be seeing Moore in the seniors. It appears he'll continue in a coaching role once his contract expires. Is it due at the end of the year? Seems like he's preparing for life after football and is being groomed for a coaching role.

Anyone else get that impression?

If so, all the best to Bulldog. He's been a great servant of the club, and is one of the better players that's been surpassed by youngsters in recent times. He's always been a solid player for us who makes good decisions with the ball. It's just that the younger guys we've had come into the club, and the mature recruits we've been able to attract just offer that little bit Moore than Jared was able to (pun intended).

Reserves watchers have said this for a while now. I think he's been resigned to the fact that he's finished as a senior footballer since last year. It's a credit to him that he's accepted it and continued on doing his best to help the club and the development of our youngsters.

I always liked the way he played, and he's someone that really got the best out of himself. Unfortunately without being blessed with endurance, height or pace his best just wasn't enough to cut it in today's game. Probably would have been a great footballer 20 years ago.

Coaching comes naturally to him, over the last 4ish years he's had a lot of the young blokes live with him and really given them a heads up on how to go about it. Good guy.

Reminds me of the movie Rudy.

Maybe he didn't want to risk multiple concussions and the inevitable headline Jarred Moore Jarred More.

In all seriousness, I do hope there is a future role for him at the club, as I always thought he was a very determined individual, and conceivably he could fruitfully pass that spirit on to those under him.

And I think I read somewhere years ago that he has quite a high IQ?
