Let's look at it from the positive...some things Cosmo can work on his game this year......field kicking on the run (apparently some coaches tried to change his kicking style during the year and it messed him up a bit), intensity and attack on the footy (will improve as he bulks up a bit), decision making and reading of the play (needs to be given more of a set position by the coaches rather than being thrown around everywhere).
No doubt he is a great athlete, but I think a number of factors this year probably led to his complete game not coming on as much as would be hoped.....I think he will be best served by working on his kicking action now during the pre-season rather than during a competitve season.....and by being given a set position to play all year. As HBF alluded to, he has grown to 198cm and played a lot of his junior footy in the ruck....if he gets to 199-200cm then with his athletic attributes he could make it as an AFL ruckman. Otherwise I would personally develop him as a lead-up CHF. Not sure he is a natural defender which is where Dandy tried to play him late last year.
