As others have said above, and I agree, in terms of outside mids, Polec is in the top half dozen in the league, whereas Motlop wouldn't even register - he's a flaky half forward flank with questionable disposal.

I don’t know the facts, but 3 years at 500k is what I have heard, and that should insult him. Maybe it’s the boner I have for him, but I think his value to our team isn’t fully appreciated.
