I kind of think because of his injuries last year, that he's been forgotten by some people, but I think that he has loads of potential and has fire and guts in his belly (just like his late father Vin)
I am really hoping that he has an injury free season next year, it is about time that he has an change of luck, I know that Pagan and co rate him highly down at Optus Oval.

Waite has got all the goods to become an absolute gun. Once he works a little bit on his shots at goal he could well and truly become a superstar of the game. Seems to have and receive a lot of respect and maybe a future leader at the Carlton Football Club.

rest assured no one has forgotten jarred. a great player in the making and a great kid. will be in the navy blue for another ten years. lets hope he does have some luck

I was most impressed how quickly he recovered from that stress fracture. Hit into some great form later on in the year. Hope he will carry this to the next... I still remember that game against Brisbane in 2003 where he towelled up Akermanis in the first half and dominated that day despite the heavy loss.

Ahh young Waitey. Has come along way since not playing a senior game 2002. That game against Melbourne last year after his father's death was superb not only to play but to play so well. That goal on the run from 50m sent a shiver down my spine.
Do people think he will one day be able to hold a KPP down like CHF or CHB or is he more suited to a HBF or HFF? I hope one day he will be able to hold down CHF as he has the size and good speed to do so.

Waite is going to be a star. A huge talent, who's just starting to deliver. He has height and pace. Looks to be about 6'4", and can play midfield role, causing serious matchup problems. His efforts in the last game against the Pies gave up a few examples of just how good this guy could be. Watching him team up with Davies and Walker for that goal in the last 1/4 against the Pies was gold. The Blues have gathered a nice collection of talented tall, running players i.e. Norman, Waite, Walker and Fisher. Good times ahead. :)

I agree. Especially how he always manages to get his arms free when being tackled. I say we play him on the ball next year and let him destroy sides! :D

If we look at Kouta it wasn't really until '95' that he became a star. I think barring injury you will find the Waite blossoming even more in the next year or two.

agree - also Captain material in the next couple of years IMO. Love the way this guy goes about his footy. Also very impressive at training. A certain leader of our club in the years to come.
