Hard to believe that Blair is only playing his 15th game tonight., yes, 15. He's already like a seasoned pro, has a flag under his belt and has only ever played in one losing game. You just gotta shake your head in wonder.

His ascendancy from rookie listed player to best 22 premiership player is amazing.

Personally, I never thought he would hold his spot throughout the finals series last year but he did.

I also thought he would be the player under most pressure to hold his spot with the arrival of Krakouer this season and perhaps the return of Brad Dick but he has just taken his game from strength to strength.

He is more than safe in our side.

If it's one lesson we have learnt, it is to recruit players from Gippsland Power. Has been some breeding ground for us over the years.

The bloke is a gun and has got better this season really starting to become a good little forward who plays a little bit midfield almost taken Macaffer's spot in the pressure he puts in the forward line

Perhaps it is more correct to say that he has taken Macaffer's spot, at least for now.

Superstar. The Muggsy Bogues of the AFL.

It's quite the story when you take into the account the disbelievers that would have intercepted his pathway into the AFL and his devotion to proving his worthiness. Almost like the Gilbert Arena's 0 minutes anecdote so to speak.

Credit is where it is due.

Showed in the preseason that he was deadly serious about keeping his spot and has proved it 3 times in 3 matches. No fluke he kicked 5 tonight. Worked for every one of them. Great to see that when our experienced players are shut down we have such class to step up! :thumbsu:

Great game from the small man. I was one who thought it was a certainty that he'd make way for Krakouer, no way in hell can I see anyone moving him out of this side now.

Beat me to it, was going to make a thread "Can Blairy keep it up?":p

I think he confidently shut down his detractors tonight. Definitely cemented his spot in the best 22.:thumbsu:

Go you little fella!!

the thing that really freaks me out about blair is the way he spins and bounces off tackles... he's like a pinball.

Currently 2nd place for the Copeland and leading goalkicker for collingwood.

All the fools that thought he wasn't in the best 22.

He is the best player in the comp when comparing based on experience.

Big effort tonight. I gave BOG. Probably helped by a few soft frees but on the balance he was just in the right spots doing the right things at the right time. Yeah ambiguous I know but true none-the-less. He just seems to win the contest or passage of play at the moment we need to. Very clever footballer.

On is way to superstardom. BIG game last night. Another example of you can't stop everyone at Collingwood because someone will get you.

Could be the next Boomer Harvey.

It's amazing what kind of output we have been getting in recent seasons from players "deep in the drafts" i.e. late selections or rookies.

He gives all us short blokes hope for our pipedream AFL careers :P

Love the way he goes about it, plays like a giant.

Has a typical country boy DTE, hard working attitude and humility.

Good he's drawing these plaudits and recognition, because he's becoming a player that opposition coaches will really need to satrt respecting more and planning for.

And the more they have to pay attention to him, the less attention they can focus on some of the others, in terms of matchups etc.

There's only so many players you can concentrate on stopping before the whole exercise becomes overwhelming and seemingly futile.

( though i guess that's where the zone defence comes into play, but still...)
