Westhoff was pick 71 and looks promising, i say we take a project player, tall, athletic etc, id rather take a risk with an inexpensive player with lots of upside, then someone elses rubbish

We already have, Johns.... and pretty much looks to have no agility whatsover.

IIRC correctly Johns kicked 3 or 4 goals in a half against Collingwood last year playing on a useless defender who was drifting around most of the time and even when on him couldn't do anything useful. In the 2nd half an AFL level defender was put on Johns and he didn't touch the ball. Guess who the useless defender was and no we shouldn't pick him up.

The problem with him in 2006 was he was forced to stand opponents that were bigger and faster than him. Thats not his go. When we had Wellman in the team, Soloman was very effective across half back. With Mal in the team this year, he would have gone back to that role. But now that he is gone, bring Cloke in to do that.

This is not the first time this thread has been brought up. The numbers asking for him to be picked up by essendon are about as popular as the saveessendon people. If you really want to guage an opinion why not do a poll!
