Is it time to give him a run in the seniors?
I think so, he has been in Collingwood's VFL best 3 times out of the last 4 weeks, and can kick a goal. I think it would do the senior side great to get some MUCH NEEDED pace in the midfield, and he puts his head over the ball, and wins it..

IF Rhyce is traded out we have a line breaker waiting in the VFL.

I wouldn't mind seeing Jaxson however IMO we have enough kids playing at the moment. Rhyce should be played for the rest of the year for his experience alone.

Yep - agree with that. Rhyce to play out the year and Barham to stay in the VFL. Would like to see Cook continue in the ones with a tagging role. If things aren't going his way, Rhyce takes over the shut-down role.

If Cook goes well and Barham continues to improve, we then have some currency behind us to take offers for Rhyce as we will have the shut-down role and pace covered.

Barham is awesome, love watching him play, kicks goals, tackles, runs and carries the lot.....
I would love to see Stanners in the seniors!

From memory there were some question marks over his disposal when he was drafted. Was a great run and carry player but butchered it a bit. Can anyone confirm whether he has improved in this area?

from the 3 games i have seen his disposal has been fantastic, setting up goals with his pass' and does alot of medhurst type kicks,( kicks low and hard to put someone in heaps of space that they wouldnt have gotten if the kick wasnt perfect, he also stuffs up a couple, also like medhurst, but the intent is there ).

Agree with Heater39.

Incidentally, does R Shaw come straight back in after missing two weeks, or does he return via the VFL?

Having seen quite a few of his games I would describe his foot disposal as very suspect. It was terrible at the start of the year but has improved quite a lot as the season has progressed. Much has to do with him having to take a few steps to steady when he kicks. He is lightening fast and sprays it if he kicks at full pace.

He is very similar to Rhyce in terms of kicking, but hopefully being relatively new to the game he can be improved.

Don't forget that Jaxson has played very limited football in his juniors with only his last season in U18s where he actually took the game seriously. I see him having a lot of development potential in skills still ahead of him. I see him being a big part of our future actually.

I haven’t seen a lot of him. I watched the game v Geelong closely on TV. He looked like a livewire that played on every time he got the ball and sometimes before he got it. I reckon he could get murdered at AFL at this point but he has a bit to work with. I wouldn’t mind taking a punt on him in round 22. I wouldn’t expose him to Sydney.
