Story on the GFC site about VFL midfielder Jay Cheep.

Driven by the premiership dream

Plays a blinder against North Ballarat in the semi final last year and got dropped..

In what is the brutal nature of VFL football at Geelong, one of the side’s rugged VFL listed stars had to make way for the returning AFL-listed players. It was either him, Adam Cook or Jason Davenport.

After 13 matches and a near faultless season, he was dropped.

Hopefully he gets his chance this year!!

He shouldn't have any worries, the rule changes from last year guarantee more VFL listed players have to be included. He would be in the top four you would think for this group (Byrne, Thomson, ?, Cheep)

He should easily be in the VFL team this week, even though a loophole has now been discovered that allows Geelong to play any player that has played 1 VFL game.

Jay's certain to play in the big one, barring injury, suspension or loss.
Decent article. Thanks for the link, Catattack. Thompson, Byrne and now Cheep. Great to see our back-ups receiving a bit o' coverage.

From today's Addy.
Leigh Tuder made a surprising admission, "Yeah, the boys call me 'Lurker' 'coz I get my best ideas from internet forums. A BigFooty poster, strip-stripper-stripey-something...highlighted a few inconsistencies in the eligibility rules, which helped us out." Asked how the club would show its appreciation, Tudor responded "Look, we'll certainly be tracking this user down and offering him a spare Grand Final ticket...should the firsts make it of course -ha ha ha- the lid's always firmly on down here, Mick."

Having seen a fair bit of VFL this year and being involved with one of the clubs I like the look of Hollmer as well as Thompson for rookie spots.

Nice quote bro, if you get anything free from the club out of it, good on you.

I wish! Completely facetious, hence the 'twaddle' link. :D
I'm sure management would've been across the rules before my post.

Have you laid your hands on the Geelong-Coburg final yet, German?
I'm assuming it wasn't broadcast into Canberra?
