What do you boys think about this kid? He seems to me to be simmilar to Peverill, not a whole lot of speed, more of a tagger type then a creative midfielder. Picked up in the same draft as Stanton and Dyson and they have well and truly gone past him. Listed as emergency last two weeks and played a few games last year. Did ok on Buckley v Collingwood last year, but one would imagine that this may be getting close to his last year if he can't break into the side.

Dont know if I would compare him Pev.

He definitely has abit of pace, whether he uses it on the footy field is another thing though.

His disposal FWIW was rated by one draft expert as the best of the '03 draft so make of that what you will.

Needs to do alot more when he is out on the field, as some have said he is abit of a invisible man out on the field in some of the bendigo I have seen.

He's nothing like peverill, in fact he's nearly the total opposite.

Smart footballer with great skills and good speed.

in the games he has played for Essendon he has played a smiliar ROLE then to that of Pev.

Sheeds does that with most kids, don't think that just because he was set a task in his first couple of games is any guide to what he will do for the rest of his career. Sheedy was teaching him accountability while wanting him to learn from a senior player by shadowing him, and lets be honest if you want to become a great midfielder there is few better to follow than the likes of Nathan Buckley. Jay would have learnt a lot that night.

Well we may get a decent look at him in the seniors this week.

IN - Nash
OUT - Slats

He wasnt that good for Bendigo tonight. Just average in the first half but did get better in the second half.
