Would love to see Jay back at the club in a paid position as kicking coach. No-one risked his body more than Schulzy. He is possibly my favourite player in the modern era .... apart from Robbie of course.

Give the $100k we're giving Jordan Hinkley to take the bins out to Schulzy instead, nobody deserves it more.

I suspect the club would be far too insular and protective of their boys/social club to invite him down to work with players on their goal kicking. Just like they have been with Ben Perkins.

Schulz offered to be the goal kicking coach a number of years ago and Donuts said no thanks.

No chance of it happening now.

Schulz wasn’t just a straight kick. Let’s not forget his marking ability or his deft use of his body in contests. He could afford a lot of technique to players.

It’s a very niche thing but I’ve never seen a better diving chest mark in footy. Whenever he jumped forward or sideways to make a kick that wasn’t quite there, I knew the footy wasn’t touching grass.

As much as I hate to use this term, it really shows how much of a cancer Hinkley was at the club.

Saw on reddit that the reason he hadn't been invited back was something to do with his attitude (possibly concussion related) - I do recall reading he's going through some stuff with that some years ago as well. Anyone know how that's going?
