Rumour is that its a work. Edge is likely to replace him tonight. edge is supposed to be behind this from the rumour i heard.

yeah its up on the WWE.com site and you can tell its a work cause towards the end its all about 'what will this mean for his survivor series match tonight?'

if it was real they wouldn't be talking about that side of it at all...

I think the match will go as Triple H v. Russian guy whose name I can't spell, all the while the commentators will be talking about Hardy's problems and how his relapsed and screwed himself but towards the end Hardy will come out and get involved, hopefully pinning someone.

Indeed...word from Boston is that Edge arrived there Saturday afternoon (US Time), so sounds like creative has come up with a doozy indeed!! Of course it is a sick angle to take though, considering Jeff's recent problems.

But it works perfectly, takes him out of the title picture without damaging the current momentum he had going. Do a Cena with him at the Rumble, and gets him the title shot @ the man who attacked him, and bang...WM25 main event right there :thumbsu: :)

Of course, I could be really wrong, and it could be terribly co-incedental. This is Jeff Hardy we are talking about, and in that case I hope he is ok!!

Yeah, I would have preferred attacked outside his hotel room, or something, or he injured himself falling over would have been better.

They interviewed Matt Hardy and Matt said that Jeff was attacked; smacked round behind the right ear with a blunt object....LMAO......

Seriously though, well done to the WWE for pulling a swerve (I am still assuming), but a definate piss poor way of going bout it....
 
Hell no...I applaud the WWE for having the balls to pull this. I have no doubt they would have put it past Jeff, and would have respected him if he asked them not to push this storyline.

Now the Edge is back though, it looks like it's time for an Epic feud ;)
 
It's ridiculous the way it's panned out.

If Edge is theoretically still tight with Vickie, the on-air GM, why would he need to take out Jeff to get into the match? If she can modify it so that there's a replacement, why couldn't she just as easily make it a fatal four way, for example, and have him do the same thing?

To add insult to injury, we're supposed to look past Jeff being too hurt to wrestle, but is still in attendance, and runs out to beat on Edge like nothing's wrong, save for what appeared to be toilet paper hanging out his back pocket?

Plus, Edge has already done this about four times, it gets old, and I'm surprised people even thought it was predictable. For HHH supposedly being the Cerebral Assassin, it makes him look somewhat stupid too. Kozlov looks useless now, and once again lost in the shuffle.

Effectively you've made 3 main eventers look stupid so Edge can return?
 
Ive almost finished watching the replay and made sure to stay clear of the wrestling board PRIOR to the live playing of the event this morning at work, but could potential rumors including what could happen, that WWE haven't mentioned (Edge), be a fair bit AFTER the event has finished?

Came across this thread this morning and it pretty much screwed up the ending of the main event for me. :thumbsdown:

Not really. I'd say they're going for the "against all odds" on the biggest stage of them all type angle, having him win at Wrestlemania. Problem is, seeing as he is already getting title shots, he can't lose over and over and over until March without seriously diminishing his credibility. This is just another way of making him not win, without having him actually lose.

Nah nothing wrong with what you said mate, you posted your thoughts not too long ago.

Im talking about the stuff above that 'TheVBomber' wrote. Was way before the event and low and behold, Edge shows up and becomes champion. FFS use text that needs to be highlighted for shit like that and dont post photos before the event like that V.

Yeah sure the ending itself was shit but the 'surprise factor' was gone.

These leaks that WWE somehow let out is why WWE/Pro Wrestling is in the state it is in at the moment.

Im putting my hand up to help mod this board.
