All this talk about his pace. I saw Stuart Dew run away from him more than once Sunday night. I know I'm on this kids case a bit at the moment but there is no way Jericho is ever going to put his body where the likes of Modra used to. Everyone seems to be dreaming of this guy being our next Modra but I'm telling you Modra had more courage in his little toes than this kid has at the moment.

He really gave me the ********s in the first half today. I don't know whether Dew kept farting all night or something else but Jericho was giving him a LOT of space out there tonight and I was not a happy chap

He should have been dragged so Craig could have a word to him as Dew was on fire. He should have used his athlestism & run Dew around at every opportunity. Doesn't appear the smartest bloke & still soft.

However, I agree with johnnypanther that he should be playing elsewhere. Looked lost on a HFF & IMO should either be playing deeper close to goals (though probably not possible when Welsh returns) or further up the ground on a wing or HBF perhaps.

Can someone also explain to me the point of Nathan Bock bulking up over the summer. I saw him get pushed out of a skirmish by, of all people, Wakelin - now that's embarrassing.

I would also be interested to know why Matty Smith didn't play. Waht's the intention, to leave him on the list for another 3 years before we realise he's crap.

i still think some are writing Jezza off too quickly - he's only 20

look at the way for example Cassissi was written off at the same stage

IMO Jezza reminds me somewhat of Shaun Burgoyne

and i could never understand how he was ever compared to Modra - entirely different type of player - i doubt Jezza would ever have the strength Modra had (let alone anything else)

that said - i still think Jezza is playing in the wrong position and would be far better utilized with his pace and kicking in a straight ahead role at hbf or wing and i would like to test him as a tagger too

When Jericho's name first came up, I said there was a weakness to his game regarding his attack on the ball. That will improve with experience and coaching. What isn't in doubt is his ability as a footballer. I've seen enough of him at junior and SANFL level at West Adelaide to suggest you have a bit of patience. He's only a young lad learning the game. Don't put unfair early expectations on him.

Westies have had many juniors drafted and succeed and he compares well with them.

Luke is gonna be a good player guys makr my words, i played a lot of junior footy with him and he is quite talented.
He always reminded me of Scott Welsh and once he bulks up a bit will play a similar role IMO.

Well he better get a LOT tougher and improve his defensive game astronomically if he wants to be as good as Scott Welsh. Having said that I can see the the reasoning behind the comparison

A clean posession and accurate disposal now and again would certainly help too.
