How is he going?? alot of rookie list players dont last longer than a season if they havent done something exceptional.
Jesse being rubbed out wouldnt have helped his chances of putting his name forward, the guy has alot of + qualities that are needed to be a good footballer at AFL level.

Im really hoping Jesse can play at least 1 senior match before the season is out, i mean god he will put his body on the line and win a contested ball more than what Camporeale would ever do.

cheers

I doubt he'll be play a senior match this year but at the very least he'll be retained on the rookie list next year.

Pagan has said that he'd like to give Smith a run before the end of the year but we have no LTI's so we can't promote him. I wouldn't be suprised if he get's elevated to the senior list for next year.

I think he has misssed the last couple of Bullants matches though either injury or suspension. Which is a shame because i was looking forward to having a look at him on the tele last weekend vs the Cats.
Those i know that have seen hom play say that he is a hard at it player, something our seniors seem to lack a fair bit of occasionly.

Campo is a veteran and legend and it hurts me when ppl bag him. he has done a lot for the blues and too many ppl continually focus on his negatives. really disappointing. more supporters need to support instead of having potshots at our vets. houlihan just has no excuse, hes a disgrace.

Campo should be just as accountable as any player on the list. Past performance and status should not be used to defend his negatives.

I for one look at both sides of Campo and for that matter Houlihan. They are both highly skilled players however both can be soft at times. This is not saying that they are physically weak. I believe both lack concentration and become less than focussed on the contest.

Any player no matter how experienced or inexperienced should give 100% to each contest. If not they need to go back to the Bullants until they can commit to the contest.

He sounds like a gun. Along with Becker they are two young men that are hard at it, have a hard-edge to their games and win contested balls and clearances. They both kick goals and are courageous. They also have good skills. Smith should definitely be promoted at seasons end along with Setanta O'hAilpin and Becke should be to but it will depend on who is traded/delisted and who we pick up. that would be the only erason if he didnt get promoted as Pagan loves both boys.

Imagine having them two developing in the middle for the Blues in 2006 along with runners like Simpson, Waite, Russell, Walker and Ellis. Throw in other hard nuts like Carrazzo, Bentick, Blackwell and Murphy and we suddenly have a young core group ready to flourish if given plenty (and I mean plenty) of senior opportunities. They seem to thrive on responsibilities which is massive for us at the moment as we lack leaders but these young guys seem to love the chance to shine. BIG PLUS, u cant teach that sort of character!
