Leroy Jetta, Essendon, has been charged with a level two misconduct offence in that he made unreasonable and unnecessary contact to the face of James Frawley, Melbourne, during the first quarter of the Round 15 match between Essendon and Melbourne, played at the MCG on Sunday July 11, 2010.

In summary, he can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.

The incident was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points). This is a total of five activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Two offence, drawing 225 demerit points and a two-match sanction. He has no existing good or bad record. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to 168.75 points and a one-match sanction.

If it is any consolation the umpire (Bowen) got dropped for his game. It was his first game as well.

He was the one who gave the Watts push in the back and the Lonergan HTB.

What a pathetic sulk. I don't agree with there being enough force to warrant a suspension for Jetta, but why bring these cases up? Did you see them or only hear about them, because both Franklin and Anthony's should have been ignored and they have been. MRP got both spot on, so what's that got to do with Jetta?

He opened up the guys face for Christ sake. Could have easily taken an eye out. It was reckless, it was stupid and it was unnecessary and quite frankly I think he got off pretty lightly.
