What can I say that I haven't said before. You never forget your childhood hero!!:D

For those who never saw Jezza and especially Doull play, words cannot express how consistently awesome they were.

What a fantastic photo. No wonder they got 121,000 at this grand final..have a look how crammed in people are in the standing room behind the terraces in the southern stand..the guy up the pole near the ambulance. Awesome detail.

I saw Jezza playing when I was a kid... absolutely awesome player

After that mark, everyone wanted to take a Jezza in the playground at school... didnt matter that it was spring and the footy season was over, if you saw some kid you knew, you just jumped into his back screaming "Jezza"

Then the nun's cracked the sads and started punishing kids for doing it.

i see that over crowding was ok... see that there are a couple of people watching hanging off the water pipe down the side of the grandstand on the left hand side of the picture

It was a pretty good mark very much like a few of my own but perhaps not quite as high.Plus looks like a dry day so a couple points of Jezza. What a legend!

I remember when he went up for a grab he really set himself and the crowd slowly rose with him including some opposition supporters.
The whole crowd would clap in appreciation.
You don't see that any more, it was a treat to be involved.

I agree , it's a great photo .

It's probably not still there but many years ago at the Riverina Australian Rules Club in Wagga they had the 'Jezza Room' and that traditonal pic was an entire feature wall in there . It was great .

Well sort of for a Pies man but you know what I mean .

Beautiful photo. I think that's the first time i've ever seen the mark in colour, coz whenever i see it in film it's black and white.
Probably not taken from the best angle to fully appreciate how good the mark was though.

My old man (a Collingwood supporter) was at the game, and said that even the black and white faithful applauded that mark. That in itself tells you how significant a moment this was for the game as a whole, and as a symbol of everything this club stands for.
