If we play our best team in both games then perhaps we go something like this. I think they will want to give Brooksby a shot.

FB: Sheppard Barrass Cole
HB: Hurn McGovern Duggan
C: Masten Redden Gaff
HF: Rioli Darling Cripps
FF: Vardy Kennedy Ryan

R: Hickey Yeo Shuey

Normal interchange: Jetta Hutchings Sheed Venables

Extended interchange: Schofield Ah Chee Brooksby Petrucelle

In for injured players:

Cripps - Waterman
Kennedy - O. Allen
Venables/Masten/whoever - next players generally in line: Nelson, Ainsworth, Brander, M. Allen, Smith, Brayshaw

Like to see the following in the JLT WCE games:
1. Nelson plays as "Jordan De Goey" style of forward. Nelson has the speed, strength and aerial skills, but do not know if he has the goal sense.
2. M. Allen as big body midfielder in both matches.

Yeah Nelson maybe has speed. The rest I don’t agree. He also has no composure of Degoey, acceleration, agility nor the canny ability to be in the goal square.

I like Jacko but Degoey is going to be an elite player of the comp if he isn't already.

3 tremendous goals in the GF. He is the real deal and one of the first picked at the Pies.

Nelson is scratching around that 22-26 picked mark. He is going to have to make a go of it on the wing or rebounding from half back. I don't think he has the tools to make it as a stoppage mid - hands aren't clean enough under pressure.

And yet he cost his side a flag by not going with his man and forcing a contest.

Delicious :)

Any Pies supporters who wander into this thread will probably tell you DeGogetf**ked.

That's when we just say "Pardon?"

During the JLT, hoping to get a good look at all the usual suspects =Waterman, Smith, Oallen, Mallen, Brander, Nelson, Petrol, Ahchee, Ainsworth, Brayshaw...
then Gaff, Shep, Rioli, Ryan, Venables, Duggan, Masten(?) for any improvement...

I love the long haired bloke with the intense cheesy grimace to the right of the cup. I trust that bloke was pretending he was Nico to drunk ladies all night and making merry.

Keen to see Foley.

I could see Nelson being a decent pressure forward actually. He’s tough, has neat disposal and the aptitude to play a set role. Ie if you told him to chase & harass like his life depended on it- he’d do it without question.

He’s also got that mongrel in him which could see a ruffle a few feathers. I really admire his tenacity.

I see DV turning into De Goey mk 2 in 3-4 years. Don’t think he ends up a full time midfielder, but a guy who makes every touch count.

Looking forward to seeing how Petch goes this JLT now he’s built up more of a tank. I think he could cement his place in the 22 sooner rather than later.
