Thurlow played a role on cyril and still scored 74 and yet people are jumping off him?? Why??

because if he keeps getting lockdown roles on people, he wont make enough to make it worthwhile IMO.

he wasnt on Cyril for 100% of the game though, he and Ruggles shared duties. still not convinced

yeah so first game in 12 months and whilst playing a lockdown role still scored 74. I personally would take that as a good return for someone with no JS issues at 267K.

Granted his role for this pre-season game isn't ideal but bews, tuohy, ruggles, mackie and lang are all capable of playing a lockdown role and not every week will they be facing cyril

From last nights game alone there appears to be quite a few forward rookies available.

If they all play in Round 1 (and Zac Tuohy keeps knocking up big scores) I might have to rethink my fwd/def premo structure.
Tuohy is an interesting one. I wasn't really considering him but looked good last night and could easily lift his average.

fair, but not for me

Tuohy looked really good last night. Played much higher up the field and looked really comfortable and was pretty involved. Didn't get much of an opportunity to play up the ground at Carlton, with Docherty and Simpson mostly taking the half-back spots. One to watch.

Looking forward to seeing how the GWS young guns go today. Taranto is further ahead than expected and if he has a good JLT, could stake a claim for Round 1. Interested in seeing Setterfield as well. Plenty of clubs (including mine) rated him very highly.
