My thoughts exactly.
Surely Port won't play Ryder, Trengove and Lobbe. Given their love for Trengove, I'm pretty confident in Ryder. Still a better pick than Nankervis IMO, but time will tell I guess. Could be an important decision that seperates people early

Hawks don't have the best ruck stocks however Ryder's work around the ground has been markedly improved over his past few weeks. Been a bit more quiet this quarter however his first quarter was very good.

I think most people see him as a stepping stone, to a premo.

A rookie only has to average 70 to make you far more cash and in the interim you'll have an extra premium somewhere else producing points with the additional cash. He won't make that much coin only averaging 100 and he never has before.

Don't be purposely obtuse, obviously I wasn't talking about rookies here, rather questioning the strategy of selecting mid-pricers without the intention of them turning into keepers.
