Alright i will Bon Voyage to France via Malaysia for a month tomorrow afternoon so i will probably not post for around 2 weeks.

I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and i will do a Macca23 and see how the French feel about drafting Meesen over Wood and Monfries :p

You'll have a great time, particularly in France. I don't know if you can speak a bit of French, but if you can, make sure you use it - the French will suddenly find English that they couldn't speak until then!!

They're a casual lot as they didn't seem to give a hairy about whether we should have appointed Craig or Wallace. I've got a funny feeling the same might apply to the Meeson/Wood debate!! :p

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and enjoy your trip - I know you will!!

I beg to differ Macca. I heard there were riots in Paris when Smith was elevated from the rookie list.

Have a good trip mate. I'm heading to Malaysia in Feb/Mar so I look forward to regular reports. BTW if your looking for a good travel guide, try Phaic Tan - very informative.

Lol Springchoke actually got that one to read on the plane over there. :p

And i'm pretty sure those riots were the fact that Smith was elevated and Parker was let go ...

For the cautious traveller

Pickpockets and petty thieves tend to congregate in areas frequented by tourists. My tip if to avoid sights of cultural significance or historical interest".

Good stuff.

That Eiffel Tower is really something; the largest and most interesting Meccano set in the world. ;)

If you think they're not interested in Meesen, just ask them about Craig!! :D

I'd love to be back there. Have a great holiday.

Glad to hear your having a good time mate.
What did the French think of the Crows picking up Nye with their first Rookie pick? I heard there was a bit of unrest in Paris, and as there should be! :D

Today at the Palace of Versailles there was suspicious absence of thought over why we didn't get Pearce and we added another ruckmen.

But however i do have a great photo which i will post later of me in my crows gurnsey under a statue of King Louis XVI at the Palace and yesterday i was seriously considering attaching the same gurnsey on Venus De Milo at the louvre (It was after all a sleeveless gurnsey)

Brilliant place to visit that. Only has 1000 rooms and huge magnificent gardens - no wonder there was a Revolution by the peasants. Old Louis and Marie Antoinette really knew how to look after themselves.

Is that the statue of Louis riding a horse with a copper stained base from the statue itself?

I'm glad you didn't do anything to Venus de Milo - after all the poor girl is 'armless!!

Sorry for that one folks. :o

Still having great time just got back from a week in the alpes where the only discussion about training camp in Taduna i could start ended up with oui tanuda, le vin: :p

Could some one please instruct how to post photos so i can post photos of Me, King Louis and a crows gurnsey

Ok i promised this along time ago but i've finally worked out how to post pics :p Anyone else have any like these?

hey nice pic jo172...... :) ....too bad I just crashed the server downloading it !! :D

ok brainwave people.......I think from now on we need to make a pact that if we're overseas, we do solemly swear that we will dress at least one important historical monument in crows gear, whether it be a beenie, scarfe, or jumper....and of course take pictures.

Nelson in a crows beanie
Abe Lincoln with a giant crows scarfe
David in a Crows G-string
Alex the great in crows socks

our mission : to clothe the world's monuments in AFC garb.....

WHO'S WITH ME !!!!

Earlier in the thread i metion considering popping the gurnsey over venus di milo's head, but i thought better of it! Love the idea though :)

Jeez, I get enough stick from my boy about packing too many clothes on our little jaunts around europe, now you lot want to pack my crows stuff as well! ;)

Although I did strike up a conversation with a stranger in the British Museum last year about his choice in clothes (nice crows jumper he had) :D

Yeah, about 1300 of them to be precise - but not in a Crows guernsey.

Don't worry folks - I'm not gonna say "wanna see my slides?" :D

Good pic though Jo - brought back memories. Thanks.
