...right

Sam Mitchell has the following records:
- Most votes by a player to come 2nd in a Brownlow (30 votes in 2011)
- Equal most career votes at 220 (with GAJ)
- Has received votes in more games than any other player
- Greatest C U in the NT currently getting around

Pretty sure he deserves a Brownlow more than Cotchin.

EFA.

Yes, both deserve it for being the fairest

Why?

The last appeal finished a few weeks back. Completely within his rights to wait until then.
Because its nearly 2017 and the story broke at the beginning of 2013. Players were banned at the start of 2016 and it's still now November of that year and he's finally handed it back. Should have handed it in the day that they were found guilty.

And he will be rightfully recognised as West Coast's second Brownlow medallist in as many years.

Congratulations Trent and Sam on an equally great 2012.

Bit sad to leave it vacant because Watson cheated. What if he didn't have the supplements and only polled half the votes that year? Cotchin and Mitchell would have been tied for it.

Why is cheating on drugs any different to being disqualified for a suspension?

I just think something indelible in the games history would be a worthwhile reminder to any who want to tread the line. Nothing against Cotchin or Mitchell who have a right to feel robbed. If they get given a medal and they are proud of it I don't really have a gripe.

I believe the right decision is to wipe the points off for any players playing against essendon that got brownlow votes.

In that case, Scott Thompson we now crown you a brownlow medalist.

You do know there was an appeal yeah? Well within his rights to hold onto it until all avenues that would potentially exonerate him were explored.

Nice attempt at a troll.

I guess you also see Judd as a two-time Carlton Brownlow winner then?

Also agree with all the posters saying it is an absolute disgrace that he wasn't immediately stripped by the AFL as soon as the findings came down.

The only body in the last decade that has been a bigger joke of an organisation than the AFL during the drugs saga was whoever ran Hilary Clinton's election campaign.

Apart from that other season he made All Australian you mean.

Probably cheated that year too. Wasn't he all australian 2012 and 2013?

Look at it this way, his career beyond 2012 means nothing. When he gets back he means nothing. He is a stain on the game.

Before - "If Jobe was a real man he would hand the medal back"

*hands back medal*

After - "He only handed back because he was forced to"

:oops::rolleyes::huh:

He shouldve waited until they were confiscated....that's what hird would do.

Lol "Potentially exonerate" How'd that work out? Fair play he gave it back but I think everyone would if they were found to have cheated in the year they won it, It looks better for everyone if he hands it back as well. The AFL were to weak to take it sooner.

So the "Good Bloke" spiel is still doing the rounds. The same "Good Bloke" who Captained those under his leadership to follow him by rolling up the sleeves and getting the needles in. The same "Good Bloke" who History will show was the Captain of a sporting club involved in the biggest team wide doping scandal in Australian sporting history (to this point at least)......

What's there to decide? The best and fairest players of 2012 were Mitchell and Cotchin. Why must the AFL complicate everything?

Drag it out, create controversy, generate more clickbait.............................ridiculous isn't it

Every snivelling prick in the media, anti-doping cartel and on this forum won't be happy until he shoots himself in the head.
