Travis Johnstone's leadership when he had the ball on friday night was supurb. He did give away undeciplined free kicks and did not have 30 touches but his decision making and the way he was trying to start something exciting for us was outstanding. His bit of play in the last quater when he shrugged off Thompson i think it was and hit Matty Bate on the chest who goaled is the exact thing Danners would love from him. Wasnt a scintellating goal but the importance of that kick was massive. That's why he is a such a good player and will continue to improve and be highly rated. The commentators deffs started to pick up on his skills. Keep going TJ!

If he wears a longsleeve he kills it. He wore it against the Dons in 04 as pointed out by davey_magik and he wore it against the Dogs this season when we smashed them. I spose it's to hide his chicken wing arms but if he does it...Oh noes! Im a very surperstitious person:thumbsu:

Trav lost the plot for about 5mins in the 3rd quarter from memory but then bounced back and killed it

Gun.

He has this knack of breaking tackles, just steps around them and shrugs blokes off all the time, even though he isnt a strong player. Love watching him play

That was difference between the team this year and last, instead rolling over they got fired up, was great to see and really impressed me (after the game)

I've got the 02 semi against the crows and I almost blow when watching TJ. He ripped the crows apart. I sit there and rewind some of his goals 5 times. Just awesome. We don't want other players and coaches to know how he lifts in finals though!

I remember in the first half he had about 3 or 4 shocking kicks in a row, but he was one the best in the second half. (That pass to Bate was brilliant!)

C'mon TJ put in a 4 Quarter effort this week!

In the 2002 Semi Final against Adelaide he was very good, but was exhausted by the final quarter. I think he kicked four goals that match (or am I thinking of Walsh?).

In the 2004 Elimination Final against Essendon, he kicked two identical running goals from the boundary 50m out in front of the MCC Members within the space of five minutes to get us back in the game. One of those goals was when Whelan polaxed Hird, the ball spilled to Bruce who gave it to Johnstone and he nailed it. Crowd went nuts!

Too bad we lost both those finals though...
