I just don't like smartarses in the media, and Ralph is their king. This is not because my club was his target, I'm just using this as an example of his shoddy journalism. When asked to tip a winner this year between Adelaide and Hawthorn, it was fine that he thought Adelaide would win by a reasonable margin. However, like the dickhead he is, he goes for Adelaide by 120 points. Hawks won by 12.

Okay, there have been games where a 120 point margin have happened, but to actually predict it just shows what a jerk off he is. He is everything I despise in the media. He makes things up, he antagonises people, he doesn't listen, he can't be stuffed thinking about what he's about to say, his knowledge of the sport is non existent, and can't be bothered actually researching anything.

A veritable boil on the buttocks of the earth.
 
It doesn't matter if he makes things up, he's telling the truth.. or something.
 
Pretty impressive that one of his flags came in a non-premiership year.

He always selects 120 points. Does the same thing for Swans.

There were calls this week to remove Brad Hardie's accreditation. It'll never happen. He's immune. Like all of them. They're immune because they know where the bodies are buried. The AFL's integrity has been chipped away for so long, that they're now rendered powerless. They wouldn't dare threaten the journos. Ever wonder why Gil always jumps to Robinson's defence, whenever Robbo comes under fire? It's not because they're best buddies. Robinson probably says 'you better bloody well protect me, or I'll print an expose that will end your career'. If the AFL had decent leadership, there would be no breeding ground for vermin like Jon Ralph.
 
I'm surprised Brad Hardie has 'accreditation'. I always assumed he's just some nong that's hired to talk s**t on 6PR like all the other nongs. He's not even a communications specialist much less a journalist.

He is a Brownlow Medallist though, which seems to give him a lifetime of being able to talk nonsense.

You're pretty close to the mark there. I have a mate who used to work in the Adelaide media. One day, in confidence, he told me things you never hear in the media. When I asked why the public weren't informed of this, his response was "There are some things you simply aren't allowed to comment on". So much for the public's "right to know".

There was one story of three AFL footballers who broke into a pharmacy company looking for drugs. Surveillance cameras clearly identified the players, and yet nothing was done about it. He was told to squash the story. There's nothing honourable about the media.
