Jury still out for me.
I hope he makes it - I hope all players we draft make it - but have my doubts.
Early decision making and disposal was ordinary, but he did fight back well to do some nice things later on.
Would want to see him string a few decent games together and do it against a team other than Melbourne before saying he'll make it!
But we should persist for a few more weeks and see where it leads.

Yes, several.

He did a ridiculous kick across the ground in the first quarter to a contest ( which we lost) and Alister Lynch didn't miss him on the commentary.
( although Mario flogwagon and friends will deny it happened.)

Also, in the last quarter got tackled from behind and nealry cost us a goal with his total lack of awareness. He certainly hasn't got better in that department. Also, his men kicked several goals whilst JON was on them( refer Davey, Bate)

There were others but these will do for a while.

Perhaps, Mario Flogwagon can finally go out on a limb and tell us all whether he thinks JON will make it or isn't he prepared to it.
Delist him now or we are looking at another krakouer who we invest 6-7 years in for little or no return.

Last night showed that he has the ability to make it at this level.

Now that he's done enough to hkeep his spot in the side, I'm sure that the mentoring and tutoring TW will deliver will make him a quality, long term player for Richmond.

Well done to the recruiting department for spotting such a talent :thumbsu:

Dunno whether he'll "make it" you complete halfwit...haven't got a crystal ball , but I 'm not going to demand we delist a 20 year old with only 8 senior games coming off his first full pre-season either...particularly when there are at least half a dozen other players that we should delist as a genuine matter of urgency....as i've said elsewhere before yesterday's match...haven't been overly been overly impressed with what little I 'd seen of him so far... but the fact is he played a good solid game and made some crucial defensive plays in the last when we were under the hammer , but you either are incapable or more likely just don't want see it or admit it , you may well prove to be correct about him in the long run , but the fact that the best you could do to back up your opinion was to point out an "error" he made that wasn't even his fault combined with your continued obssessive and mindless flood posting against him only serves to prove you have no impartiality or credibility on this issue , and haven't for some time...and really if Terry Tan can be red carded for his incessant anti-Wallace flood posting(If indeed that was the reason)...which ,annoying as that was..actually was far more valid ..then you should be pissed off from this board as well......now go away , you're a boring twat...

That card was deserved.

It was a ridiculous campaign which had no foundation whatsoever.
Just reactive posts that had no thought behind them, and were solely based on attacking arguably the best coach we've had since Hafey

Where are all the TW knockers now?

I know.. too proud to admit that he is the master coach who has this club back on track after the debacle that has been the last 25 years

Ok mate time to stop insulting our intelligence and fess up ...who are you really? What is your involvement with the club and your connection to Terry Wallace....I make a post mainly about JON ...and virtually straight away... you sieze on my one basically indirect mention of Wallace right at the end and use it as a launching pad for yet another over the top glowing reference of the man...the same as every single post you've made here. Seriously, do you type Terry and Wallace into the search function whenever you log-on? You are obviously some kind plant posting here under a false pretence and therefore should also be banned immediately.:thumbsd:

Did enough to warrant playing him for a few more games. We need to show some faith in the kids and not drop them for guys that have had more than enough chances to prove their worth.

Aslo we need to give them roles that are achievable as well.... I liked the way TW played JON against Melb.

Once his confidence grows I think he will be a great player.

I don't know about this bloke either. Knowing how Wallace tries to manipulate with spin, who knows, it might even be Wallace himself!!
 
Showed that he needs to be persisted with. He's done his apprenticeship in the VFL and is regularly in the bests each week. It's time we give him proper game time at the top level to let him lift the bar and acclimatise to the faster pace. Only drop him after a couple of really bad weeks in a row to get his confidence back and then bring him straight back in again.

Hafey was a premiership winning coach you hero. Dont go bringing a club legend to support your propaganda campaign you Greenberg wannabe
 
I think JON will be a pretty good player. He is one of the most agile blokes i have ever seen and seriously quick. His kicking has improved and he will only grow in confidence. Yeah the switch of play wasn't there and wasn't the best option by far but he was trying to create and back himself. At least it wasn't a turnover caused by fear to do the wrong thing. He will learn. Picture a combination of JON, King, McMahon, Rance, Moore, Raines running out of the back line at various times. That, combined with the so far uber reliable Thursfield could be a weapon of a backline.

will pay that for a player of his experience. Now we go from here...at the end of the day, he has come in and not lowered the standard that we had...lets see if it rises from now on. I am patient...until i get impatient...if you know what i mean...they wasted 5-7 years on the Pettifers, Hydes, Chaffeys, Tivs of this world, we can afford this kid a couple to show us what he has got. One thing he does do, is he glides across the ground, effortlessly, and changes direction just as effortlessly. He aint soft either....and coburg form means JS to me...its all about form in the big time. Lets just say, i bet you he showed you better form in the 1s than you had seen in the 2s ay? ;)
