brown wouldn't even be suspended if it was league, lynch may have gotten 1 or 2 weeks, black certainly wouldn't have. I think they need to toughen up, not to that extent but stop handing out harsh penalties for small incidents, particularly those that happen in a Grand Final when tension is at it's highest.

I think Brown will get around 5 weeks, won't be surprised if it is around 8 though.

IF THAT IS THE BEST EXCUSE YOU CAN COME UP WITH,I SUGGEST YOU SIT DOWN AND WATCH TELIVISION INSTEAD OF TRYING TO AMUSE PEOPLE ON THEIR PCs,ITS A LONG TIME SINCE IVE SEEN SUCH CRAP ON A FORUM.i THINK YOU ARE A ONE EYED TWIT.I think that Brown should be suspended until the Grand Final next year,so that,if BL are in it again,he will have saved up enough energy to again knock the living dailights out of some other poor sod.!!!

Actually they're called Senior Counsel these days...just to be technical. ;)

I think BL might have delayed the hearing to get 4 Queens Councillors over from The UK,because they always seem to get away with most infringments,i.e striking after the siren ???????????????????

If Mark Bickley got 5 weeks for smashing Wakelin's face (literally - 2002) - accidental or not - still reckless and numerous other incidents where players have caused serious injuries and gotten away with it most significantly Mr. farmer's intentional knee in the face (although didn cause any injury but had the the potential to cause one) - brown should not be given any more than 5 weeks if at all given his "punch" didn cause any injury and was not without provocation.
Much as I think Bickley is a prick, mostly from that incident he a) didn't have a record as long as his arm when he did it and b) it didn't occur in the Grand final where it's known to all players well in advance incidences will be treated more harshly. 3 weeks for the offense on it's own, 2 for his record and 2 for it been in the grand final.

Settle petal if you read the whole post you would have realised the humour behind it..I appreciate as a fan of the Lions you have an emotional investment and been a young'un you believe everything you read at face value.

Passion is what keeps football clubs going and you certainly have it
don't call me a young'un, my opinion is worth no more or less than yours, and yes i am passionate of course, i just wish ppl would stop having a go at brisbane at every possible opportunity is all (comedic or not).
