being a docker fan - the subject of jon hay re-signing is of interest

followed a link from our website to the age real footy section
where i read this

"Hook said keeping Hawthorn's stock of key-position talent secure was a priority, although the irony of offering Hay and Thompson the security of three more seasons will not be lost on Jade Rawlings. Rawlings, a Hawk of nine seasons, is now with the Western Bulldogs as a consequence of not being able to win more than two years from the club."

just curious do any of you hawk fans think if the signing goes ahead that rawlings got a raw deal?

Rawlings didn't get a rough deal, he signed for the Bulldogs for the inflated price he was asking, so why are people still feeling sorry for him?
My personal thoughts are I would sooner offer a 3 year contract to Hay or Thompson before I got around to Rawlings.

Yes! Rawlings is nowhere the ilk of Thompson and Hay, and yes, let's forget about Rawlings, there's a lot we Hawks can look forward to. 2004 is not far away.
