Is having his best year by far & has raised his game & his leadership up another cog this year & is more than likely leading our Best & Fairest.

Another great game tonite as a contested ball winning clearance specialist. Some of his torps to put the opposition out of position were first class & resulted in goals on 2 occasions against the run of play.

Kudos Mafia Man!

Hang on...wait a minute. Weren't you questioning his worth earlier this year?

What a memory you have there Don McKraken....You speak of course about the faux-tough-guy thread post for which you had your er henchmen, deliver some punishment on said poster forthwith (Which wasn't me)....Indeed his performance in our loss to Geelong which precipitated said thread was a stinker & I stand by my comments there!....I also happened to post his 200 game milestone thread, for which you seem to have conveniently forgot!....I'll look forward to the horses heads coming my way then shall I?

You did. You are somewhat bipolar with the Lewis threads. I can't figure you out.

Having said that, kudos for celebrating his performance. He is a legend of this club and we are very lucky to have him.

Geez he was good tonight, love watching him in his career best form. He's tough as nails and uncompromising.

Without him Hawks would have been in deep trouble thru the injury riddled stages of the season, so, again I ask why is it that most BF Posters don't even recognize him as 'Elite'? Not that it matters cuz we the Hawk supporters know his true worth and for having an awesome season in the best team as the best Mid so far then I can't quite understand how he can't be AA!

The only thing Bi-polar here Mr McCreviss; is the HFC's performance against all opposition these past 4 seasons as against its performance against the Cats, with the one obvious exception of course....So perhaps a liberal dose of Lithium is in order prior to when next we meet them!;)

All-Australian form. He's singlehandedly dragged our midfield forward many times throughout the year. Must be a good chance for All-Australian if the award was picked on actual performance, not just reputation and stats

It was more the fake tough guy garbage that was being thrown about. He is as tough as they come. Anyone suggesting anything difference has no idea about football. You didn't call him that, it was more at the OP.

Great season from Lewis, has taken his game to another level this year, will be leading or close to leading our B & F, should be All-Australian too.

Best thing about him has been how good he has played against the best teams barring Geelong (but he isn't the only one who struggled that day). His best games have been against Freo (37 Touches) Sydney (27 & 35 touches) Port (38 touches) Very consistent, durable, has a great balance between offence and defence.

What a season he is having, another ripper performance.
He will poll well in the Brownlow and the B&F.
Great clubman that doesn't get the credit he deserves externally.

Smart too, made sure he was there to stop Buddy's arc when having set shots from the pockets and get in his head, that a 1%er if ever I saw one.

He's raised the bar.....Was a very good player that couldn't take the next step. Now, he's one of our Elite.

Nah, he was always a very good player who sacrificed his own game to play certain roles required of him as part of the team. was never about not taking the next step.

Is now being released more often to be the midfield supremo he looked like being early days before being re-assigned.

Serious Brownlow smokey. With Hawthorn currently 13-4 and no Buddy and Mitchell and Rioli missing large chunks of the season there are very few players stealing his votes.

What he said. Fella knows a thing or two about footy.

Fair Enuf....I think my disappointment in his game that day was more that he became stuck in a 're-active' phase & mind-set & seemed to be 'agitated' & 'put off' his game!...He subsequently lost his poise & was running about 'half-cocked' for most of the second half....Proof that the Cats clearly do get in our heads....Mind you, he certainly isn't Robinson Crusoe on that score!

He has probably not had a forward tagging role for 2 years, last year he sat on an opponent as the stoppages and was then given the freedom to get his own ball....even then he was not always sitting on an opponent for many games last year.
He's at a different level this year....all be it with a little more freedom.

There was always that feeling of what could have been with Lewis. Always showed that he was great player and had the right tools but never seemed to be able to take that next step.

2014 has been his year where he has done exactly that. Superb this year, particularly after Mitchell went down and he took responsibility.
