I am pretty sure it wasn't Jordan who actually pushed Hunt in the back, Jordan was the one who was remonstrating with the umpire which is why everyone thinks it is him

It was David Gourdis that pushed him in the back.

Silly thread.
Its not a "rumour" and wasnt McMahon who pushed, and if it was............who cares.

When I saw the title I thought the rumour was McMahon rumoured to return to the dogs next year? :o

Well some people are interested to hear what our past players are up to and whoever pushed Hunt has some sort of shred of fame for giving him his second ever AFL goal :)

Yes poor old Jordy can't take a trick.Even his great kick after the siren to win the match last year will be remembered for giving Melbourne an extra draft pick.

Given that it was Carmichael Hunt, it was his first ever goal/s and there would have been 1000 television cameras on him, I would have been getting out of the disaster area as quick as possible.

As strange as it may seem, I still think Jordy will get picked up by another club next year. It could be St Kilda or Sydney, some club who has a history of turning players careers around. His style of game of running and long kicking is suited to clearing the zone and modern football. Some club will probably take a punt on him.

He is barley VFL standard let alone AFL, he will never play AFL again.

The only chance he has of playing AFL next year is if Gold Coast pick him up to fill up numbers and for another older player with AFL experience. I can't imagine anyone else would go near him after he couldn't even get a game at Richmond.

Well at least he's at the Tigers where they take care of his mental issues, unlike our rabble of a club.

What the hell does that mean ?

I thought his issues when he left revolved around a break up with his then partner, and a very public media report she banged on about Jordy being tight fisted with money even though he had provided for her pretty well from what I read in the articles.

The dog's could not be held to blame for her

McMahon took a parting shot at us for not supporting him through a tough period in his life and praised Richmond for the opposite. Or at least, that's what I remember. The ex thing came up a bit later I think.

So that would make him C.Hunt:D

Wouldn't that be an unfortunate name to end with.

Big fall from grace for him, he was a very good player for us around the 2005-06 period

Highly doubt he'll play at AFL level again

Don't doubt that he won't be playing AFL again. It's a shame he chased the dollars, I don't doubt that leading up to the 2008 season he was under pressure personally, and that it probably didn't time in well with the club offering him a smaller package than what he thought he was due. Professionally, at the time he made the right move.

History shows that he made a balls up of it. And it's a shame that he didn't stick around, a bit like Farren didn't. We've seen guys like Eagleton, Hahn and Hargrave make changes to their game over the last three years to become major parts of this side, and I can't help but wonder how much better our versatility would be if Jordy decided to hit the gym and put on some kilos, as well as playing a more accountable game. His left foot would be one of only two we have running out of defense. I can tell you I'd much rather have him over a one sided Moles.

If you can't get a game for Richmond you can't get a game for anyone. No way could you compare him with Farren. One guy has gone from strength to strength the other has lost all confidence in his ability to play (seems to happen a lot for guys who were coached by Wallace).

There is some logic to that. But I am still having ten cents(any takers?) that he will bob up at another AFL club next year. Maybe St Kilda or Sydney(clubs with a history of rebuilding players careers) will pick him up. St Kilda could do with a running type, and they do have a history of picking up recycled players and fitting them into their style of play.

Jordy always strikes me as a confidence player. His best is good, his worst is terrible. Without knowing the guy, I always got the impression that he can have self doubts, and drop his bundle when he stuffs up. If someone has self doubts or confidence issues, Richmond is not the place to go to. Their support base is huge and can be pretty unforgiving at times. What Jordy needs is to go to some club where the coach can give him a confidence boost and heaps of TLC.

Agree 100% with how you compared Jordy and Farren. Their fortunes have both gone in polar opposites since they left our great club.

If you re-read my post you will notice that the only way in which I compared him to Farren was by noting it was a shame they both didn't stick around.
