Channel 10 news just reported we have offered him 1 mil over 3 years to go into the pre season draft..

Yeh I heard that, it didnt say we were going to trade him at all, just trying to intice him in, but even if he agrees to a deal wont Richmond snaffle him up

anywho ud think Brisbane would keep him

Surely there is better around.

Yet another running backman....no thanks. :thumbsd:

This running backman racks up 20+ touches a game and continuously hits moving targets from 50m +. Would be a brilliant get.

With the PSD you can't be picky. If you can get a player of his quality there you've done very well.

He is a quality player and would be delighted to have him at the club:thumbsu:

can't all you bastards just leave our poor players alone, i'm dying of the thought of losing all these players that are apparently being offered deals, god... save our players...

Drummond would be a great get!

We still got that much room tho? I would've thought we'd frontload Judd's contract to ease any salary cap tightness in future years when our list is more mature and stronger.

Yeah, in the press conference today, Swan came out saying that we had left plenty of room to take someone in December! Looks like they have their eyes on someone else anyway! I think its either Hadley or Warnock

Warnock isn't out of contract and Drummond >>>>>>> Hadley.

drummond is such a great player
he has a booming left foot and IMO one of the best kicks in the AFL.
he would give us some much needed run and driver from defence.

We are better placed to do these sort of contracts now.

Next season we would have struggled to make the min 92.5% of the Salary Cap and to do so we would have had to over pay some players, more than likely Gibbs, Murphy etc. While this makes great sense now what it does is set a precedent down the track: they will expect more increase with every contract.
So what we do is attract some big names this and next year and front load their contracts to the hilt, then as the younger ones develop down the track we can manage their Salaries with better control and fit them under the cap.

Does that make sense.

Correct lets offer J Fraser big bucks if we could take him from the pies my year would be complete.

Some of the current players on the list will have been made aware that for the last few years they have been overpaid because of this minimum payment rule, and if they want to play in finals they will not be getting pay rises to help us bring in some quality.

They should accept and understand this.

I'd take Drummond in the PSD. would also mean we could move Scotland into a permanent midfielder perhaps? or if not, have Scotlond on one HBF, and Drummond on the other, both seting up all our play

How old is Drummond?

He is 24....IIRC he broke into the Brisbane team at the age of 22. Bit of a late developer.

The way Swann was talking on 3AW.....we will trade tomorrow and have someone in line for the PSD.

I am guessing Hadley tomorrow and Drummond at the PSD.

What are we going to trade for Hadley? Can't really trade picks. Need at least 3 minimum. They can have Bannister =D
To be honest, im not that desperate to get Hadley. Would much rather get Warnock or Drummon. Already have enough up and coming midfielders
